Buyer beware Got a quote ($1800) for 4 new performance tires for my X7 in October… everything was out of stock. Finally got tires ordered beginning of December. Was told they were less expensive and given a new price. A month goes by so I call to check on the status of tire arrival only to find out they had been there waiting…. No one bothered to call and tell me they were in. So I schedule an appointment with service for the install. I was lied to I’m thoroughly disappointed in my recent experience. I came in prior to thanksgiving for brakes and service. I was quoted Zero as it was under warranty. However I was told the parts were not available and advised to return in couple weeks. I wasn’t told that this was a “one time courtesy”. Had I been given the information I would have made sure to Leave the car there until parts arrived. When I came back a few weeks later it was out of warranty and I was quoted $2000 for front and back breaks.
Some Things Never Change I got a recall on my car that stated they need to replace the fuel pump. They encourage you to make the appointment online. I did and received a confirmation. My wife gets there this morning and they said they don’t have the parts and they couldn’t do it. The service advisor also told her she wishes they wouldn’t send out the notices. Sales Person, good! The Sales Manager, lacks scruples! Although I felt my sales person was quite good as was the finance person I dealt with…. the sales manager, with egregious mendacity, suggested that the car I was trading in, was quite common. I mentioned the trade in value that is reported on not only CarFax but also Kelly Blue Book. He came in quite a bit lower, and I asked for only $1,000 more than his initial offer….I was told categorically, no. Terrible service The same issue I told them to check didn’t get checked and came back the same way. Majorly disappointed as I’m not a car mechanic and have to troubleshoot and show proof of my own issues with a luxury vehicle.
Disappointed I’m new to bmw but was part of the Lexus Annapolis service family for 15 yrs. When I pull my car up I’m used to having my service coordinator come welcome and greet me. Attend to me and go over my service details with me. This is my 2nd time at the bmw service and this service expectation was completely obliterated in a bad way. If I could give zero stars I would. My car, a 2021, was towed there due to a damaged tire. This happened early on a Tuesday morning, I had to fight until Thursday to get an answer, for them to find a tire that I called and found at multiple locations, to get my car back. I was given the runaround at every turn by multiple members of this department. Going so far as to leave a message for the general manager, whom I never heard back from.
