Went in to get a replacement rear tow hook cover - not the first time either....... Last time they sent it to the paint shop and it took about 4 days to get it back. Today, I was informed, "we don't do that" by the parts guy........ how petty........ thought things were improving at Tischer...guess not.....

My experience with BMW of Silver Spring was not a positive one. I recently purchased a 2004 BMW X3 3.0 with only 42,000 miles on it. The salesman, Lonnie, was polite and efficient, and is the only reason why I have this dealership 2 stars. After working out the details of the sale with Lonnie, the Used Car Sales Manager, Rick, came over to review things. I went to Annapolis BMW first and could not get help from a single salesperson. I wandered the entire lot, wandered the whole showroom, made eye contact with several employees that were standing around chit-chatting, and not one person spoke to me. I take that back, one person on his way out asked if I needed help, I said yes, and he said he would find someone. 10 minutes later, still nothing, I left and drove to Tischer...where I got the EXACT SAME LACK OF TREATMENT. Took my car for repairs about six months ago,cylinder coils were replaced, and three days ago 12/13/2010, had a breakdown, same problem was diagnosed. Have called Tischer Service desk for three consecutive days, left messages and NOBODY has called me back. Spoke with two different service reps, same answer, you will have to talk to your service rep. since it is a warranty issue, they promised to get him to call me back, he never has. Never buy a corvette from a BMW dealer....and never trust they have the title when they don't. We bought a corvette from them paid in FULL and when our first temporary registration ran out, the truth finally came out. The previous owner did not fill out the title correctly and therefore when the dealer was supposedly getting it registered for us...they were trying to fix their mess. I drive a 2006 530xi sedan. I had a flat tire warning last Saturday afternoon (9/18). I did not notice a visible loss in pressure after 1 hour, so I drove to the dealership and told the same. I was serviced by Jack Barber. He checked the pressure in all 4 tires and noted it was low on the right passenger side and would check the tire for damage. While the service is great the helpfullness of the service advisors is poor. My service advisor was helping one person and two other customers were waiting. I noticed there were two advisors with no customers that could have helped customers but neither of the available service advisors offered to help us. This is bad customer service. No matter who the customers assigned advisor is if another advisor is available/free customers should always be helped. This practice needs to be fixed. I contacted this dealer about a specific car located at another dealer. They were able to locate the car I requested and gave me a good price through e-mail. I then visited the dealer to double check that I liked the color. I made my deposit on the car and was told to expect delivery in one to two days. I thought that they confirmed that they were able to get this car while I was still there. This was on Tuesday. Poor service. Other than oil change, every visit require 2 or more days to repair. Often find lose clips or screws on the seat or floor after pick up the car. Here are some examples of poor service. 1. Took the vehicle car in 3 times for smoke coming out the front engine hood/grille area. 3rd visit I included a video clip to proof the problem for the Service Advisor.
