The prices were way too high for the quality of food. Very little food was given, they seemed more interested in decorating/the presentation of the meal. I received a medium crab cake and 3 measly steamed shrimp for $34. Needless to say I was still hungry. So disappointing, I think I am going to ban all fancy restaurants as they are quickly living up to the "rip off" status. I would recommend going to Phillips to get the same combo for less which includes two side items. Boo!! For Bond 45
BLUF: Down right awful. Hair in cocktail. Food way too salty. Over priced. Poor value. I wouldn't let my dog eat there.
For such a nice restaurant, they did not have any gluten-free bread or crackers or pasta. This made our dining experience very disappointing. Also, $25 for a basic egg breakfast entrée is quite high.
Food has gotten worst over the years
I was unimpressed with the food for the amount of money spent. When you visit MD, the one thing that comes to mind is Crab Cake! The server assured me that it would be amazing--so, I ordered one--however, it was dry and underwhelmed me. The bread that comes out before the meal leaves much to be desired. Our son did not touch his mac and cheese and the salmon was also overcooked. The bright side to all of this was the service. The young ladies assigned to us were friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. We did not feel rushed to... read more
Food was overpriced and it was underwhelming. The chicken Marsala was multiple chicken pieces over grilled with Marsala sauce on top. No flavor. Steaks were not good. When a Rib Eye looks like a NY Strip and has no marbeling and the manager comes and tells you it's the end cut. Just weird.
It wasn’t all bad, but far from good. It started off with something as simple as pouring water and went downhill from there. Our server poured our glasses of water but rather than pick up the glass and hold it to the mouth of the pitcher, instead pours from waist height with ice cubes splashing into the highball throwing water onto the table and a bit on myself, followed by the glug of water splashing out of the glass. I wrote this off as an honest service error. Perhaps they were unaware there were cubes inside the pitcher.... read more
The restaurant is nice. The host was very nice. Our one disappointment was that we went there for Sunday brunch. We even checked the website to confirm Sunday brunch and look at the brunch menu. When we were given the regular menus we asked for the brunch menu. We were told that on Easter, only the regular menu was available. To be honest, we didn't want pasta at 11:45! But we were stuck. So, you might want to call ahead and confirm they are serving brunch.
The restaurant was packed and thus you would expect a little bit slower service but the waitress we had way too many tables; She knew nothing about the wine selection; The Steaks took forever to show up and then they were COLD; as if they were sitting in the back for 15 min after they were cooked; Two of the three wines were not good and was over priced. We had to ask several times to get our waters refilled. Doubt i will be back.
