Food was way overpriced. Entree came out cold. Sat us in porch area, which was freezing. Server pretended to be interested, but was unfocused, forgetful & generally left the impression that he just wanted his shift to be over. Will not return.
you know your in trouble when the waiter doesn't know the specials, or the soups. Service was fast, though most of our group of 6 was done by the time the last entreee finally arrived. This was perplexing as the restaurant only had a dozen tables filled. But they made up for the mediocure food with downtown prices.
We were sadly underwhelmed w/ the less than attentive service. The server never told us her name, spoke ridiculously low, and never asked if we were celebrating a special occasion (which we were). We ordered the shrimp and calamari appetizer along w/ the stuffed mozzarella with tomatoes. $6 for tomatoes? Appetizers were just ok. For dinner we ordered lasagna, sea bass, and petite filet. food was bad. steak had no taste.
Menu was limited and food was average at best.
Too noisy, too cramped, too expensive.
The steak is incredible but watch out for anything else. The chef seemingly had a seizure with the red pepper flakes. They were in everything...including the pasta! We had to send back all of the sides since they were far too spicy. If it wasn't for the outstanding service my wife and I would have walked out. This is DC and frankly you can get a good steak just about anywhere.
"Just Okay" sums up my review. I expected more on all levels. Too many other choices in this catagory to choose from that offer far superior service, quality and overall experience. Nothing sticks out as "bad", but nothing sticks out as good yet along great either. $600 for 4- I don't mind paying if it is worth it, which Bond 45 wasn't.
For the price, I was very disappointed. The steak was bland. They offerred you black pepper and you said yes but they still did not bring it to the table. After they brought the steaks to the table they asked if we needed anything else and we replied how about the mashed potatoes that we ordered. I was hit in the head as an employee walked by. I will not return.
