My 3 month old puppy ate a piece of fatty bone marrow and it made her sick to her stomach for a few days. I brought her in to this clinic just to get checked out and the doctor told me she was prescribing an anti inflammatory to bring down the inflammation. I had a lot of questions about this drug and she told me it was just an anti inflammatory drug and nothing else. When I almost walked out I asked which pills were which medicine, and the check out girl told me it is actually an antibiotic. How could the doctor give my dog... read more

Like most vet clinics: it's busy. I have had mixed feelings and experiences. I'm writing this in the event others have similar type issues. I brought my first rescue here in 2006. For some reason I didn't return, I don't remember why - probably cost. Fast forward to 2016 and I brought the same dog in (forgotten I was there 10 years ago) to have him put to sleep - it was gut wrenching but everyone was patient and compassionate, which made it a little easier. So I dislike writing a negative review, but hopefully it will l... read more

We used to bring our dogs here all the time. It was a little expensive, but it was fine. When we got a new dog, we needed to fix her. We called. $600?????? SERIOUSLY??? It's not even a big operation! We called our old veterinarian who was good but was like ten minutes away. They could do it for $100. Wow! We switched right away. Balconies Vet Clinic is where we take the doggos now. They care for your pet, but they are very overpriced.

My first and last time I will ever go there. The staff at this place is terrible!!! Just one example is when they tried to get my cats temperature with a rectal thermometer. Instead of one of them firmly holding my cat so he couldn't jump away they barely held him so that he jumps away and they have to try to stick this thing up his butt 4 times as they laughed about it, while my cat was howling. I finally told them not to attempt to get his temperature anymore (since they did not know, or care, to do it properly and were... read more

Came in an hour before closing time after calling to see that they'd see us and were turned away. Very unprofessional and frustrating to have to drive multiple locations with my sick pet due. Front desk staff rudely informed us they were understaffed, would have been great to know that when I Called ahead

We've been taking our pets to Brykerwoods for decades... This morning, however, was poor... 1+ hour for them to process a specific gravity test on a urine sample, when I'm about the only person in the waiting area? (a trickle of other folks came, were, helped, and left) After an hour a vet did come out to review the results - and mentioned she wasn't sure why they were requiring the urine testing anyway. Today just was a poor customer experience.

I came in with my first puppy for my first vet experience ever. I waited for about 45 minutes outside in the sun with two kids, since my puppy wasn't fully vaccinated they didn't want him inside. Instead of asking me specifics about his symptoms, they ran a test and gave him a shot. Then, she watched him diagnosed him with kennel cough. Would have been nice if she'd seen me, asked me questions, made sure she understood what I was saying (because I was pretty clear I don't know anything about sick dogs), and monitored the do... read more

Liked this vet for a while. A few of the vets I really liked, others are so-so. The front desk is hit or miss, there is only one girl who is truly nice. My breaking point was when my cat was sick and they acted like I was over reacting about it. So instead of them helping me find out what was wrong with him I was forced to go the ER and pay triple what I would have at their office. I was correct and he had a foreign body in his intestines. Then when I called Brykerwood the next morning to let them know of their mistake and a... read more

Business response:

Ashley, I'm so sorry you had this frustrating experience, and I'm disappointed that you have the impression we don't care -- it's quite the opposite. Unfortunately, we didn't have any doctors available during the holiday weekend, or we would've been more than happy to see your cat. If you'd like to discuss further, please feel free to reach out. Thank you, Fred Rodriguez, Manager

I have a 6-year-old dog who has been with Brykerwood for the entirety of his life. That said, this isn't one of those reviews that is based on one bad experience. They take care of your animal. I have no problems with that. The part that leaves me fairly angry is the pricing. They price gouge. Over the last three visits, I've decided to take an in-depth peek at the itemized receipt. On every visit, I was given some sort of drug. Two different types of sedatives and one to take care of parasites. I took a peek at the online... read more

Business response:

Naveed, you make a really good point, as it sounds like we should've been more clear about the reasoning behind our prices. Please know that we're taking your feedback to heart, and we appreciate you taking the time to leave your comments here. Our main priority is taking the best care of your pet, but it goes against everything we believe in to overcharge for no reason. Thanks for bringing this misconception to our attention, so that we can address it moving forward. Thanks, Fred Rodriguez, Manager
