This Vet Clinic is awful. Their incompetence is surpassed only be their rudeness. Do not waste your time or your money.

I'm never taking my cats here again. While the majority of the doctors are great (with the exception of one who tried to sell me rodan & fields and another who flat out told me "I don't really know anything about cat behaviors" when I asked what was making my cat do something harmful to herself), the front desk and office staff is abhorrent. One of my cats has been regularly seeing a cardiologist for over a year now. He frequently needs to get blood tests at Brykerwood when he is on a new medication or to check that his lev... read more

BRYKERWOOD IS A TERRIBLE CHOICE THE DOCTORS ARE UNPREPARED THE RECEPTIONISTS ARE RUDE AND UNHELPFUL READ THE RECENT REVIEWS IM NOT ALONE Like other recent reviews I also have been coming here for 10 years, and have seen this place deteriorate into a terrible clinic ! My cat was recently diagnosed with Diabetes, and Dr. Bonnie Kemnitz at Brykerwood has provided me with absolutely no treatment plan whatsoever ! My Dr. completely failed at providing me with even remotely adequate information regarding how to care for my c... read more

We've been fans of Brykerwood for almost 30 years. Recent changes, however, have left customer service and the overall experience severely lacking.

This clinic used to be very good. Unfortunately, they run through young vets very quickly so you rarely see the same vet. Also, they seem not to care stall about customer service. In COVID, you drive up to a numbered spot and call in to alert them that you have arrived for an appointment. However the system doesn't work, and I've been turned away once because I couldn't get through on their phone system. Another time, I was told I was late and my dog might not be seen. We did get in, but only after having to make an argument... read more

Despite being a client of Brykerwood Vet for almost ten years, I am going to be finding a new vet clinic and will no longer go to Brykerwood. The vets have always been superb and have been compassionate and caring in treating my pets. The front desk people, however, have always been short, rude, and quite frankly, bitchy. As a client that has spent literally tens of thousands of dollars on my pets there over the years, I would hope that they would be a little more friendly and helpful. It really sucks to call them and ask fo... read more

I've been going to Byrkerwoods Vet for over 30 years and have a very old cat who was sickly, I asked for an appointment and they said they could see her in two weeks so much for loyalty. Time for a change.

My 2 dogs have been regular customers for 10+ years, but the past few interactions had me find a new vet. I showed up at an appointment and the check-in line was unusually long. Was 5-8 minutes late for the appointment and the line for another 15 until it was my turn. Checked in and then got a harsh scolding from a vet tech or front end person how late I was and when I explained the line she rolled her eyes at me and really came at me with "oh so it was us, it was our fault?!!" Called this week for an appointment for my one ... read more

I'm outraged at the price charged for a simple international health certificate- $350 is double the price of other vets in Austin! I fly with my dog about all over the world about 10 times a year and nowhere ever I paid more than $180 in USA - in Mexico it's $20, in Berlin $50.... when I asked for justification of this price because I really needed to understand what I'm paying for (the exam took 5 minutes) I was met with very unpleasant response and made feel bad for even asking.... I was told it was "hours of phone call... read more
