Dr Biehle is the best! I've been going to Brykerwood Vet for 20 years. Yes, the front staff leaves something to be desired many times, but the care that the doctor's provide are second to none. I have trusted Dr Biehle with all of my animals since he brought my cat back from the brink of death after ingesting antifreeze. His attention and care for my cat made me realize that he treats every animal there as his own. I have since moved to NW Austin and take my animals to another neighborhood vet for routine checkups (out o... read more

I have been a customer of Brykerwoods for about 10 years. They actually care about your pet in a way that I have not seen at some other places that seem more money fixated. Dr. Biehle and Dr. Haley (and everyone else as well) went way out of their way to help when my dog was poisoned by melamine. I don't think I can ever properly thank them. Great people and great care. Highest recommendation.

I moved from West Lynn Vet Clinic to Brykerwoods because the guy (can't remember his name) has too busy trying to sell me his crappy brand of purina to properly help my Great Dane who later had to be put down. I switched over to Brykerwood and they are sooo much better. Great folks in there that pay attention and honestly care for your animals.

I have been seeing the doctors over at Brykerwood since 1987 (i know that kind of dates me). 99% of the time I have had the most fantastic, caring treatment for my pets. Dr. Beihle does sometimes have a weird sense of humor (he is an aggie after all) but if you want the best care in the world you need to be at Brykerwood! Over the years I have seen many doctors at Brykerwood and 99% of them have been fantastic. Currently we really like Dr. Haley (allison) as she has really learned a great deal since first coming on board... read more

I have been going here for at least 10 years. I was really impressed twice with their gentle care when we have, over the yrs, had to put an old cancer kitty and an old dog down ... very caring. We also went in once with a stray ... the kitty had stopped traffic on Lamar under a car then proceeded to bite very hard into my hand ... so they looked the little kitty over (all good, then adopted by another of the rescuers) and they tended to my bit hand, for free. Also, they fixed and boarded our puppy Great Dane and pretty mu... read more

I brought my 6 month old puppy here for the first time when he was vomiting and unable to have a bowel movement. I didn't have an appointment, but they worked me in and I only had to wait for 5 minutes to see a vet. It was a young woman and I love the way she was with my puppy. He can be stubborn (we're working on it), and instead of telling me he may have to be sedated in the future like one vet tech in another vet's office did, she handled it and he responded. Imagine that, a vet who knows how to relate to dogs. They t... read more

we've been going here for 10+ years and the doctors have always been amazing with the front office staff usually leaving something to be desired but in recent months I've noticed the front office staff actually improving which is nice. They don't treat my dogs, the doctors do, so I've always been a loyal client because of the amazing doctor staff. They also honor petmeds.com prices for things like heartworm meds and antibiotics so definitely print those out and bring them with you to save a little $$$. Pros: Amazing veterina... read more

Fantastic care at reasonable prices. It's not very big nor glamorous, but you can sense that the whole staff is in the biz for the right reasons--they truly care about your animule! I think the numerous cards and Thank You letters that cover the place speak for themselves. You don't get a 'regular' doctor unless you request one (we like Allison) but they are all very bright and caring. They also have drop-in hours without a required appt on Saturday mornings in case you can't make it during the week. Our dog's annual visits ... read more

I used to really value this vet and unfortunately their doctors have taken a turn for the worse. They only care about monetizing off of your pets. The compassion is no longer apart of this business. It is all about $$$. Do not take your dog or cat here. I recommend finding a different place. Their service is TERRIBLE!!!! Never coming back after our horribly disappointing experience.
