I have been taking my 13 year old maltipoo to Brykerwood, specifically Dr. Baker, for the past 3 years, and I'm convinced my fur-baby is still alive and rockin due to Dr. Baker's care. Every staff member is so warm and friendly. We have had several issues with diabetes, colitis, UTIs, collapsing esophagus, and other issues, and every time I call they are quick to discuss issues with Dr. Baker or another vet on staff to figure out the best course of care for my sweet fur-baby. One particularly memorable experience is when ... read more

Every experience, even the sad times, at Brykerwood I felt my pet and I were very well cared for. The staff is extremely professional and helpful. I truly feel my pet is loved and treated as they would their own. The vets are gentle and very knowledgeable. And straightforward with the humans rather talking in industry terms. They are not afraid to make a referral to a specialist when it's needed. After trying out many vets in Austin, there is no where else I would take my bulldog or any other pet I have in the future.

These caring and professional folks have been caring for our companion animals now since 1980. With all sincerity, we believe there is no one better to care for them, and have had nothing but the most excellent service with every possible aspect of our association with them. I could list a dozen categories of care, but I'd be redundant. Thanks to Brykerwood for decades of service to all members of our family.

This past weekend, we were visiting friends in Austin. Our 14-year old Yorkie, Sasha, became quite ill on Friday evening / Saturday morning. So, we took Sasha to Brykerwook Vet for an examination. Based on her condition, the staff immediately stabilized Sasha so that they could properly exam her. Unfortunately, the prognosis was not optimal and we had to make the difficult decision to let Sasha go peacefully. However, the staff at Brykerwood were incredible. They took such good care of Sasha and us during this difficul... read more

Brykerwoods just helped us through the worst period of time any pet owner can go through and that is "the end." We so appreciate the professionalism, kindness, and love the staff and vet showed to our Millie as she left us. We were allowed to arrange and pay for everything up front. We were also allowed to bring all of Millie's toys and familiar things in with us. The vet was so kind and loving. She talked to Millie and treated here with so much dignity--it was as if this vet was losing her very own pet! The vet gently talke... read more

This afternoon I assisted a kind soul in taking a dog to Bryker after the dog was struck by a car and left in the road. The dog had apparently gotten away from his owner. We announced our emergency upon arrival and the staff assisted us immediately into surgery. I was impressed with the professionalism in treating the dog without delay, not any prolonged inquiry about who we were or who would be paying. The focus was solely on attending to the poor dog. God bless y'all.

Took my old sick cat friend in because it was his time. The team at Brykerwood treated him well and gave me all the time I needed (I was a hot mess) with him despite the fact that I was the last appointment of the day and they were closing. It was really hard to say goodbye, but Brykerwood made it easier.

My family has been going to Brykerwoods Vet for over 30 years and would not go anywhere else. Typically we see Dr Biehle, but it is not always possible. Last week I had to do the most painful thing I have ever done in my life, put my beloved 14 1/2 year old dog down. Dr. Biehle was not there and we were seen by Dr. Moore. My family, and most importantly, my animal were treated with deep dignity, respect and kindness during this agonizing moment. Dr. Moore took us to the green field outside the office where I held my bel... read more

My family has been coming here for our pets since we moved to Austin 17 years ago. We started out with just small animals, but the quality of care was obvious even then. Dr. Biehle even offered to do surgery on my sister's hamster rather than just writing it off as "just a hamster" (we ended up not going through with that but the offer was kind!) We've never considered using another vet because the quality of care and compassion all of the vets, techs, and receptionists have shown us over the years has been tremendous. I've ... read more
