My fiance and I were totally spoiled by our vet in NH, and learned that the hard way after seeing more than one subpar vet after moving to Austin. We finally ended up at Brykerwood with Dr. Moore and she is GREAT! We have a senior dog with many issues & we always leave with our minds at ease after meeting with her. She takes time and listens to any and all concerns, but doesn't drag appointments out any more than necessary either (which we also appreciate). My husband and I LOVE Dr. Baker. We love how down to earth, funny, warm and smart she is! And she is so amazing and compassionate toward our animals!!!! We also went through a highly traumatic situation with one of our dogs and she was so incredibly kind when I frantically rushed in five minutes to closing; I'll never forget how much she helped me emotionally pull through the trauma and I'll never forget her hug. She is the reason we love Brykerwood so much.

Our family has taken all of our animals to Brykerwood for many years now. From basic things like shots and check ups to the friendship they displayed with the death of our beloved Golden Retriever, Buckly, they are top notch. Great care and great service. You do probably pay more to take your animals here, but in my experience, the cost has been worth it.

I was nervous trying to find a new vet that provided high quality services that did not break the bank when I moved here about a year ago. Luckily, the goodness of Yelp led me to Brykerwood! Their hours are very convenient for those who work a 9-5 (open on Saturdays!) I have taken my 5 year old cat here for a wellness exam, allergic reaction, and most recently a teeth cleaning. Prices have been reasonable and the staff is very friendly. Heads up, in February all dental procedures are 15% off!

I just have to say that they could not go out of the way more to accommodate our two (equally spastic) rescues. Earlier this year, we adopted a 3 year old German shepherd who was in bad shape and very unused to being examined, and not only were they incredibly patient and understanding with his nerves, they also recommended we drop by regularly just to ease his fears about going to the vet. It has been over 2.5 years since my original review, and I just want to say that Brykerwood Vet Clinic continues to be just as awesome as ever! I now live 40-45 minutes away from Brykerwood and I still would never take my dogs to any other vet. Even though I generally only need to bring Beau in for a routine check up every 6 months (he is MUCH healthier now than when I first adopted him), the receptionists and kennel techs who have been there awhile still know both of us by name and are always so helpful and kind. I had a great first experience here. Dr. Nicole was excellent in treating all of my older dog's health issues. She was very kind, patient and informative. My appointment was started right on time and I didn't have to wait. Friendly and thorough reception staff. One of my better vet experiences I've had in 13 years.

I'm continually impressed by all of the doctors and staff at Brykerwood Vet. Since joining in December, our little 4 month old puppy has had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Werner, Dr. Moore and Dr. Dockrey - all of whom have been so loving and kind to our little doxie girl. We are first time puppy owners and always come in with a thousand questions at each visit.
