I love Dr. Stephanie Baker! I have been seeing her for a few years now, and would never see anyone else. Before finding Dr. Baker, I had been bouncing around from vet to vet for about 10 years. She is so smart and compassionate. She has your animals best interest at heart. I trust her completely. I have an older dog and always ask her "what would you do if it were your dog" so whatever she says that's what I do! She is a vet because she loves animals, and cares deeply about the owners who love thier pets. She's not in it... read more
My babies having going here sense 1995. Love the staff and Vets. Always there for us.
Just an update to say that Dr. Allison isn't there anymore, but the other vets whom we've seen since then are great. So are the vet techs. The reception staff is still the part my husband and I like the least, but some of the newer reception staff are truly nice. The crankiest of the reception staff is still there, but we decided to keep going to this vet office because we like the vets and vet techs so much.

We're so happy that we've kept you a loyal customer, Helena. Thanks for the feedback here on Yelp. I'll definitely speak with my front desk staff and work hard to improve. Cheers, Fred Rodriguez, Manager
I love Dr. Stephanie Baker! The first time I brought my dog in was on a semi-emergency basis (not really an emergency, but not a typical first visit) when I noticed my dog's dew claw had cracked up the center and the dangling half was causing her some pain. (Our old vet had just retired and we hadn't yet found a new one.) Dr. Baker introduced herself to my dog and gave her a few minutes to get relaxed before bringing in a tech to assist. A quick dose of anesthetic right around the claw and then another quick move with some ... read more
I boarded a cat and dog during a trip to California. The cat had no problems. The dog had never been boarded as I have had neighbors that took care of him in the past. So, it follows that the dog developed some anxiety related health problems during boarding that required extra attention and care on the part of the Brykerwood Veterinary Clinic staff. The staff at Brykerwood Veterinary Clinic went above and beyond the call of duty in taking care of my pets! My dog received the best possible care, and the staff were very atte... read more
I believe that I got exemplary, caring, responsive service at this clinic. My old cat appeared to have had a stroke; I just moved to Austin and called around trying to get in somewhere. I confess I tried vets more highly rated on Yelp first.but none of them could get me in. As a walk-in Brykerwood put me in a room within minutes of my arrival and Dr. Baker arrived within another two minutes. She was informative, knowledgeable, and kind--with me and the cat. She mentioned the cost of everything first and offered the leas... read more
I don't know what I would have done without Brykerwood Vet. Dr. Werner is amazing, and I've heard the other dogs are amazing. Dr. Werner helped us with a horrible case of megaesophagus, bloating, and recurring aspiration pneumonia. She was so compassionate, empathetic, and really cared about our dog. I adore this vet and it's staff who were nothing but kind and wonderful. She was part of one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make in my life and I feel comforted because of her advice and medical knowledge. I have al... read more
I have loved BWVC for years. They were great when our oldest dog was declining in health. Always available to talk about the next problem we were having, and how to make him feel better during that time. Since we have gotten two more dogs and they love them just as much. Constantly making sure that they are up to date on their shots with reminders, making time to see them around our schedule, and simply loving them when they are at the office. As long as we are in Austin we will always go to them. They are the best at what t... read more

Thank you so much, Jessica! We always love a visit from you and your pups, and I'm thrilled to hear the feeling is mutual. If there's anything we can do for y'all, you know where to find us! Best, Fred Rodriguez, Manager
I am a relatively new pet owner. I had dogs growing up but this is my first time having my own furry friend to take care of. Brykerwood has been so accommodating every step of the way! I did my initial vaccinations and neutering at a local clinic. Some vets are weird about this and act snoody. Brykerwood had the clinic send over the records and that was that. I called in because my pup was having tummy troubles and they saw her later that afternoon. Now that it's summer I'm thinking about shaving her down becuase she's alrea... read more

It's so wonderful that we've been able to help you as a new dog mom, Grace. We're all about providing our customers with top-notch service, so it's great to hear that we're doing a good job. What did you decide in regards to shaving your dog? If you ever need anything, we're only a phone call away. Best regards, Fred Rodriguez, Manager
