We had liked the food at Cafe Fiorello before the pandemic but our meals in October 2022 were medicore and certainly not worth their high price. The portions, for the price, were shockingly small. After paying $250 for a group of four, none of whom had drinks, I swore I would never eat there again. I was greatly disappointed. It is sad to see a restaurant go downhill.
Been eating here for years and years and not since the pandemic - very surprised. Had a reservation and decided to eat outside, many tables available. We were asked when our 3rd guest would be arriving - we were 10 minutes early. The maitre d' "did us a favor" and sat us. We ordered 2 drinks and we were admonished at 7:12pm by, not 1, but 2 people, that our friend had not arrived. We counted 5 open tables out there?? Disappointing
From the moment we were sat to the end the experience was disappointing. Only have two monies for 4 people. Used forks set back on the table after they were used for appetizers. Waiter was not totally familiar with menu. Plates were removed as one person finished. Only reason I can see for dining here is its convenience to Lincoln Center. Prices high and yet you still had to pay for bread.
The food was very average. The pizza was not good, the antipasti bar had average offerings… very disappointing overall and pricey for what it was.
It is a shame the service at Fiorello has become so poor. Our waiter only showed up to take our order and forgot things we asked for. We never got a chance to order a second drink. And the place was half empty. Truly forgetsble experience. Food was ok but again, not what it used to be. Will find other after theater alternatives
The lox was really lousy and the bagel was stale. Way below the level we’re used to here.
Impersonal and apathetic service. Mediocre food lacking flavor. Not the Fiorello it’s been in the past.
The evening started off so well - our server was friendly, our drinks and entrees arrived promptly but it went downhill from there. Our server disappeared and even after we asked another server to find him, we waited nearly 20 minutes with dirty plates. We would have ordered coffee and dessert, but ran out of time after waiting an additional 10 minutes for the dessert menus to be brought over. What a disappointment.
