The host was unspeakably rude, so much so that I will not return.
Terrible management. Totally unprepared for an emergency. Food excellent, service slow, coffee horrible, espresso machine not working. Not a safe venue

For years we have been going to Café Fiorello before the opera. However our brunch last Saturday was a real disappointment. At 11 am we were told that regular items could not be ordered until noon, however at 11:20 we saw several tables getting them delivered. I ordered a broccolini and cheese omelet. When I bit into it all I could taste was onions. Called our waiter and said that the menu did not say it had onions in it (which I do not like and wouldn't have ordered). Food arrived not hot. When brought back microwaved which still was not hot....tasted like a microwaved meal
Of the four entrees two were only passable. Entrees came out very quickly and I felt they had been partially prepared before. The veal Milanese was deep fried and hard to cut and eat with a skimpy amount of tomatoes. The bolognese was not terribly flavorful. Very poor attention to the quality.
Such a racist! We booked a table weeks ago and they only gave us a seat right in front of toilet. We requested for seat change 2 times, whereas they declined saying 'there's no table' while I could see empty seats in the middle of the inner side of the restaurant. What a coincidence for having another Asian customers just beside our table(which is again in front of the toilet) for 2 subsequent times? Totally overpriced for average food. An Italian restaurant that now charges for bread, ridiculous! My guess is that you want to make money back for "loss " income, but in the long run you'll end up losing. I am a Lincoln center regular and I will not go back nor recommend anyone to visit your restaurant. Its that simple.
Bolognese tastes sour, undersalted, and pasta stick to each other.
