We have eaten here for over 40 years. This even was (as is often the case) crowded but the noise level was ridiculous - conversation was impossible. We were stuck in a crowded, obscure corner and basically ignored - it took 25 minutes to get a dessert menu. Water served was warm. It is disappointing to have this experience - they certainly USED TO DO better.
The antipasto was very oily and no flavor. Service was good and ambience too. The food was unsatisfactory.
DID NOT CHECK VACCINATION STATUS ON ANY INCOMING CUSTOMERS WHILE I WAS THERE. I’ve enjoyed Fiorello in the past but will hesitate to return due to their lack of compliance with this important mandate.
I had a reservation at 5:30pm (I was not a walk-in/ it was still very early) and was sat lets just say, I felt like an outcast seated away in a nook by the bathrooms, somewhere far away from the dining room and everyone else. The menus that were presented to us were bigger than the table we were sat at. We didn't have enough room for our drinks, appetizers or entrees so we had to utilize a small lamp that was on a table and place our drinks on top of the lamp as holders. Managers walk around arrogantly and were very snooty. ... read more
$5.50 for a soda that is pure ice and then it isn’t refilled for free is a complete ripoff and I will not be returning. I know the cost of soda from a gun and that was a complete joke. If anybody asks how my experience was I cannot recommend to go that purely for that fact. It was insulting quite frankly
We dined there for brunch despite reading a few bad reviews, because it could of been just a bad day. However the bad review was right. We found the pancakes to be awful. The blueberries were frozen or canned and spoiled. The French toast was gooey. The waiter never even checked to see if our food was ok as if he knew it was awful. $100 down the drained.
Seated and greeted promptly with reservation, and everything was downhill from there. It took in excess of 30 minutes to even be acknowledged by a server and only because I had to awkwardly ask management to have a server come to our table. Hoping the service would get better, it didn't. We never saw the servers again and had to constantly flag down management and servers just to get the things we ordered. No one wants to do this when trying to enjoy a meal and this greatly detracted from the good food, when it eventually ca... read more
I went after a matinee at the Met. I had a table for one. Service was horrible. I was completely ignored by my waiter once he took my order. I didn’t need much but a “how is your food” would have been nice. I had to flag the host just to pay. Food was good but I’ll never go back when there is a show at the Met.
We came here for dinner after the ballet. We enjoyed the ambience but the service was terrible and I didn’t like my meal. I ordered lasagna and expected a traditional lasagna plate but instead, I received this monstrosity of lasagna, gobs of cheese all on top of one big lasagna noodle and it wasn’t layered. It was salty and I couldn’t even eat it. When I mentioned it to the server, he said, “It’s obscene isn’t it,” while walking away, didn’t bother to see if I wanted something else and it was a $40 plate that I barely ate. H... read more
