I thought it was very over priced and the food was just ok. The redeeming qualities; Location and friendliness of the staff.
From the food to the service, Cafe Fiorello is always good!
The place was entirely too crowded (had to move my seat a couple of times for waiter to get through) and the noise level was like a wedding or bar mitzvah. Could hardly hear my guest speak. I realize due to their location and speed of sevice of adequate food they will survive, but I would not go back, nor would I recommend any friends. Waiter was excellent.
Had 545 PM reservations on a Saturday night to make an 8 PM show. Crazy busy. No room to walk. No room to put your coat on. No room to stretch. Every time door opens the frigid wind blew through the whole place. Food didn't arrive until 7:15 PM...always nice to eat a $40 entree in 10 minutes. Never again.
LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE ICONIC MET AT LINCOLN CENTER THIS IS A BUSY AND THRIVING EATERY WITH A WONDERFULLY DIVERSE AND INTERESTING MENU. THE STAFF IS HELPFUL AND VERY COMPETENT AND THE MENU MATCHES THEIR PERFORMANCE. PRICES ARE COMPARABLE TO OTHER NY EATERIES BUT THE LOCATION PUTS THIS SPOT AHEAD OF OTHERS IF YOU WILL BE ATTENDED ANY EVENT IN THE COLUMBUS CIRCLE AREA.
We were seated at a small table very close to other tables to such extent that on the right side my arm was on the neighbor's table, and on the left side the wine bucket from the adjacent table was stuck to our table. This was a very unpleasant feeling that the owners are squeezing the customer's to make a as much money as possible on a Sat night. The restaurant was very crowded. We did not see the waiter for awhile after our initial order. I expected better food based on other reviews I'd read.
service was good. food just so-so. noisy but lively if you want to be part of a 'scene'.....festive atmosphere
The food was very mediocre compared to years ago. Did not have either dessert we ordered. Very close tables with a loud woman next to us. We will be going somewhere else. Quite disappointing!
