We did not get a good table, even though we had booked early in the week. Noise was very distracting. We were too close to other diners. Would not go back. Our waiter was very good.
The place was a chaos. The service terrible and the quality of food has deteriorated.
Our food was ok despite service that was slightly on the slow side....we were especially distressed to see that the couple arriving at the adjacent table5 minutes after we did, didn't see their food come out until some 20 minutes after ours did [fish/pizza]. We took pity on them and donated leftover chicken to the husband. He had finished it completely, had spoken with the both the waiter and the general manager, and was ready to leave for the ballet when at last his fish arrived! We were comped a mediocre dessert, but no co... read more
Sadly it was such a disappointment all around. The service was poor and the food was mediocre at best. The wait staff was totally disorganized, impersonal and indifferent. Someone needs to get the staff organized and engaged in what they are doing!
I have dined here before & rated the experience high. However my recent visit with guests from out of town was very disappointing. Waiter rude, impatient & the food not up to usual standard. I was embarrassed to have taken friends there. The restaurant was not overly busy so I can only assume the standards have gone down. Very disappointing.
Ive been there many times. This however was horrible. The food awful.
I was not thrilled about my dining experience at Fiorello. We hadn't been here for a very long time and it's perfectly situated for dining before Lincoln Center performances. We were seated against the wall, where all the tables were close together, and the woman next to us was screaming to be heard the entire meal. We were offered cookies from a tray at the beginning of the meal -- strange choice for an appetizer. The mozzarella salad was delicious and very creamy. My veal chop was undercooked and overwhelmed with peppercor... read more
Really nothing special - across the street from Lincoln Center, so very convenient before a show or event, but that's the most positive aspect. Food was not bad, but was not memorable. Bread was odd - no olive oil offered. Vegetarian at our table had a hard time - only option really was spaghetti with pomodoro sauce. I had the antipasto bar, 2 veggies and 1 seafood. Artichoke was inedible as it had not been trimmed well, and was too tough to eat. Zucchini was good, but more tomatoes than zucchini. The shrimp and scallop sala... read more
I chose this restaurant because of its proximity to Lincoln Center and because they offer some vegan dishes. I read reviews that said the tables here are crowded together, so I expected that. It's a pretty big restaurant and the decor is nice. My boyfriend enjoyed his veal piccata but I did not enjoy my seitan scallopini. It was 2 thick, deep-fried cuts of seitan with vegan cheese, tomato sauce, and arugala. It gave me a stomach ache for the rest of the night for $26 (a side of pasta was an extra charge). I work in an upscal... read more
