Somebody lost our order and it took 2.5 hours to eat, just barely making the curtain at War Horse at Lincoln Center. Way over priced for the quality of the food and bad service.
Cafe nel Caos is a better description. Very overcrowded,classic New York shoving and line-cutting at the entrance. Food mediocre at best. This place should have closed, not Josephina. Most likely it won't because they likely make great profits on poor service, poor food quality, and overbooked tables.

Too noisy and too crowded. Prices are too high. We have been dining there for years, but they are just packing the crowds in, and it is not an enjoyable dining experience anymore.
The waiter was excellent; The food extraordinarily mediocre, not much taste. The wine was satisfactory. I doubt greatly we would ever choose to dine there in the future.
Pre- opera is always VERY busy and crowded. This time we were seated in the back near the waiters station. Waiters were talking disparagiinly about patrons and orders- not nice. We have eaten there several times, never an experience like this. Our waiter also just messed up- no food, then the wrong food, almost missed the curtain but the mangement stepped up! (We took most of our order home with us).
Too pricy & the food was not that good... Definitely will not be back, plus our waiter was rude
My friends got there a little earlier than my husband and I. They were told there was no reservation in my name. When we arrived we were told that the reservation was for two not four and for a different time. I had a confirmation e-mail for what I asked for. Luckily my husband knew one of the managers and we got seated.
The was service was real slow. We asked for grated cheese twice for the soup and salad. I finished my soup before it finally came. The food was cold. We never got the bottle water on table. They never filled my glass with water. The waitress did apologize. We had guests from out of town and they could not believe how bad the service was. It was embarassing.
