The only positive I can think of is the location: if you're going to Lincoln Center, this is great. The food was quite bad, the prices astonishingly high, one too many tables are crammed in the small room, and the acoustics are like a subway platform. I'm not a food snob by any means, but how can an Italian restaurant blow simple, delicious staples like pasta fagiola, Caesar salad, minestrone? This reminds me of the old Mamma Leone's in Times Square: pure tourist trap.
They pile you one on top of the other.....it's just not worth it..!! I like the menu but feel like I'm dining in Penn Station...gotta go elsewhere before the opera.....
Over priced, misrepresented, I feel fine paying for good food but robbed when paying for over priced garbage. There are better choices in the neighborhood so avoid this one.
I don't remember the service being QUITE that awful. If the food was better I may have been ok with our waitress basically ignoring us the entire night. It wasn't even busy or I may have understood.
Inattentive service was the big downfall
Convenient to the opera, but way too expensive for what it was.
Portions very small. Service very spotty. Ambiance chaotic . Wine arrived after meal was served.
We were disappointed. The food was ordinary. The service was poor bearing on rude. It was lunchtime. They claimed they ran out of meatballs. They had no creamers for the coffee and so milk was served in a custard dish. we felt that we deserved better.
If you like airplane food, this is the place to go. While the appetizers were OK, the main dishes tasted like microwaved frozen food. Terrible!
