Utter confusion, disorganzied, doesn't honor or respect previous seating requests, main course served before first course completed, or held in kitchen to be microwaved when served resulting in hot and cold temperatures in one portion. Situation keeps getting worse with each sucessive visit. Would never return again.
Noisy, overcrowded. expensive with only fair food.
The restaurant is too busy and too noisy. Service was disappointing: the waiter seemed distracted. We were given a table right by the kitchen even though we had booked well in advance and there were empty tables. The food, however, was not bad and the location perfect for those going to Lincoln Center.
I have been going to Cafe Fiorello for almost 2 decades, long enough to watch its changes. I have found that Cafe Fiorello has become too noisy and over-priced ($130 for 2 people to have a plate of past and 1 1/2 glasses of red wine each). Additionally, the tables are packed too closely together in rooms with hard surfaces everywhere (extremely acoustically active). I only went there because of timing with a performance at NY Phil; otherwise I would not have eaten at Cafe Fiorello.
Pizza was cold. The table next to us had their pizza delivered to the table and it was cold. We saw another pizza just sitting on a tray for five minutes. An off night.Pasta was fine.
This was my worst restaurant experience in recent memory. I dine out many times per week, and haven't had anything this bad in a long time. First, it took 5 minutes of standing at the door for a host to come seat me (if I hadn't had an OpenTable res., I'd have gone next door to Josephina). Then, I was seated in a section that apparently had no waiter assigned to it - It was 15 minutes before I even got a glass of water. Finally a waiter took on the table, but begrudgingly (I could see them arguing) - And they didn't have wha... read more
SAVE YOUR MONEY! This place is terrible. The were sold out of Artichokes, Cauliflower, and Ginger (for the Ginger mojitos). It is a tourist trap! The service was embarrasing. We picked this spot because we were in the area, but PLEASE, walk the extra few blocks to the TimeWarner Center and got to Avoce. Similar cuisine, but 5 star AND it will cost you less!
This place has lost a lot of its lustre in the quality of the food. So disappointing. Used to be the best pizza in the city.
Seafood not nearly as good on tapas bar as a year ago. I chose the 4 seafood item and there were only 2 or 3 items available so I switched to 2 seafood and vegetables which were very good. The shrimp in the seafood salad were so tart I could not eat it.
