My salad was excellent. The entree was soooo average. I had bolonese. It was boring.
Food is mediocre; minimum taste, no originality. It is quite loud and difficult to carry on a conversation with your dining partner. Don't bother.
We had a reservation for 7:00 P.M. but had to wait for 45 minutes in an overcrowded, loud bar area where there was barely enough room to breathe. The food was mediocre except for the pizza which is superb. The service is non existent, unprofessional, and inattentive.
this was the worst experience at cafe fiorello i've ever had. i had a reservation and they couldn't seat me for more than 20 minutes after my reservation. they kept saying it would be just a minute, but after 20 minutes, i left, angry. i was more disappointed, but it was overall a very frustrating experience. having been there several times before, it seemed out place, but was nonetheless a disappointment.
Hectic, noisy and crowded. A disorganized kitchen took more than one hour to serve our entrees which we had to cancel because we were attending the opera. Since it is only the location which draws such a large clientele, they should be used to rush hour by now. I will avoid returning any time soon.
The service was great. We were seated within 10 minutes, although we arrived 1/2 hour early for reservation. HOWEVER...the salad dressing on my house salad was sour....I ordered lemon chicken and when the food finally arrived it was nothing but slightly warmed up semi- warm chicken breast and thigh with not hint of lemon or sauce...My partner ordered a side of spaghetti for his shrimp dish since they would not substitute this for the beans on the menu. We went with out 3 grandchildren ages 7-11 and it was difficult to find food for them. The prices were extremely high - even for NYC- We spent $160 for 1 pizza, 1 steak and plain pasta with butter plus 4 juices, 1 milk and 1 wine. Exhorbitant. The crowning blow was a charge of $18 for a small bowl of plain pasta with butter and $5 for a minute cup of lemon sorbet.
