I made an appointment to have a place checked to see if it was a skin cancer, the nurse pointed to a place on the other hand and said she needed to take a biopsy there also. The one I asked about was not a skin cancer but the one she pointed out was, it will be removed Tuesday.
Paid a lot of money for a NP to take a picture of my face, walk it over to a Dr. and the Dr. diagnosed me with a mysterious allergy for me to figure out on my own with very little guidance or explanation. Not to mention, I never even saw a Dr. No one looked at my face, touched my face, etc. I took time off work and paid money for nothing helpful or useful.
I waited over a hour to see doctor
When we were checking out this last visit (Evalyn Nichols appointment on April 10), I needed to make a follow-up appointment and I realized while making the appointment that we would be on vacation 3 months from now. The wait time needs drastic improvement. 1hr 30 mins for a scheduled appointment is not patient friendly. Also, billing practices needs improvement. Patients should be notified prior to appointment time in the event their account has a balance or discrepancy. This delayed my appointment time and was publicly embarrassing as this took place at the front desk.
Long wait time and not so friendly service
10 minutes is not long enough to do a complete skin check. It did not check closely or completely. Did not feel comfortable. Too cold no blanket.
After waiting an hour after registering,and hearing at least three other people called back for my doctor, I was brought to my exam room. My exam was done about 15 minutes later. The exam was fine but I was never apologized to for the wait. When I was setting up my next exam I asked if there was a better time so I would not have to wait for an hour. Again, no apologies just “8:00 am”. I will be looking for another dermatologist as my time is important to me.
My appointment was at 11. I got called in a room at 11:30, told remove clothes from bottom half. Sat there for another 40 minutes half naked. My time is valuable too, I missed a meeting because of this.
