Absolutely too long of a wait. When your appointment is immediately after lunch, and you still have to wait 30+ minutes in the waiting area something is wrong. EVERY other doctor i go to (mainly UAB) makes it an absolute point to be seen within 15 minutes.
Facility was very nice and front office staff were very kind and helpful. Reason for the low rating was the provider entered room and before making introductions instantly went into diagnosing me. It felt very cold and made me become closed off since there wasn’t any effort to build trust. I lacked confidence in her diagnosis since I felt like I wasn’t able to express my concern fully or explain much of why I came in. I did still ask my questions and the provider did take time to answer them. I felt like I was just handed a ... read more
I’ve attempted calling since December to get an appointment and no one ever returned my phone call. Finally got an appointment in May
After yesterday’s experience, I’m considering finding another practice.
I have really liked this dermatologist office for a while, and am happy they have come up with a treatment program that has helped to clear my psoriasis. But recently they have become completely disrespectful of their patient’s time. Making an appointment seems pointless when it takes nearly an hour just to be seen by the doctor.
I won't recommend anyone I know come here and I won't be back either. They always seems too busy and even distracted. I was over charged by the front office once because they confused me with another patient. I was denied a treatment that the doctor wanted to perform because the equipment was being cleaned. They offered to reschedule me for it but it was weeks away and another co-pay.
My wife and I had appointments we thought were close together. We spent over two hours at the office. Usually we are both seen at the most 15 minutes apart. We will not try to schedule appointments together again because of the long wait. with people scheduled between us.
I really like the facility, nice staff front & back office. What I did not like was the provider, Dr. Gerald. She gave off a bad vibe when she walked in the room. She did not want to touch me & kept her distance. The medical assistants were closer then she was. I came in for skin issues to my face & she barely even touched my face. One time. I she kept referencing BLACK skin. BLACK skin this, BLACK skin that. I get I am a black woman but she sounded so racist by saying it. She could have said melanin skin, or your skin tone.... read more
I booked a brow lamination and asked for the price upfront. The lady on the phone told me it would cost 75$. After I had the treatment I had to find out that it is way more expensive and I had to pay 120$! Pretty sure I would not have done it for that money, but it was a very uncomfortable situation so I just paid. The receptionist even told me that this happens quite often. This incident will definitely make me a one time customer, as there was no discount or anything else given. The treatment itself was okay, but the brows... read more
