Fair Lack of cleanliness in the room Pool and restaurant
Booking.com tricks me again Booking.com is very clever with its pictures. This motel is not worth the price for the tiki theme. Especially when it's next door to a Motel 6. It was clean.
Stay closer to downtown. The water was shut off on our first night there so we couldn't use the toilets or shower. The food at the Reef restaurant is not as good as the reviews say. It is convenient, but I would rather get postmates or go somewhere else. The brunch spot in front is good though, but no dinner there. The rooms have that cheap budget motel vibe. Whoever the photographer was made this place look amazing and it is not that. The pool was open and the drinks were strong.
Nice hang at the pool. Avoid the food, expect long waits for drinks. The room was a little dirty. Both the tap at the sink, and the tap in the bathroom were hard to operate. The one in the shower took 10 minutes to get to work. It is broken. The food at the Bar/Tiki bar was not good. Although the Fish and chips was passable. The servers were very polite and kind and helpful. But they had one bartender working, on a busy weekend, with close to 100 people, so you had to wait for ages to get a drink. Poor Unfortunately we had a family by us that fought the whole weekend, whether in the room by us or at the pool and it was a huge show they put on friday and sat to where hotel staff and reef staff had to get involved. You couldn't relax with so much fighting the whole time they stayed especially in the pool area The reef was was good like always, staff at check in was great, and I love the West Coast Brunch Bar such a awesome family to run it. Very attentive and delicious. A must try and definitely coming back
