Bought a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 4 door 4WD with 80,000 miles at Camelback Toyota, 1550 East Camelback, Phoenix, AZ in April 2020 from Salesman Elijah Cid. We were assured that all the fluids were new and the mechanics went through it before it was sold to us. Since then it was driven only 5500 miles. This past week, the transmission died. The sales experience was very pleasant and everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. Service after the sale, accessory sales and scheduling specifically, leaves quite a bit to be desired. Lack of follow up, lack of call backs, lack of accurate information, etc... I really hope any interaction I have with the actual service department is better. I've had 2 sales experiences with them. The first was in late 2009 when I tried to buy a Prius from them. They tried to upcharge me $3000 over sticker price claiming "the Prius was in such high demand". I called around and ended up buying it AT STICKER from Earnhardt Toyota instead. Now in 2017 it's time for me to get a new Prius. I thought I'd try Camelback again since they are right down the block from where I live. The car I bought was great but after driving home I noticed a high beam was out. I was told there was a complete inspection of the car and clearly there wasn’t. I contacted my dealer who told me they’d get it resolved and never got a reply back after that and have been avoided. Same situation with his manager... I have called and spoken with over 30 employees and gotten nowhere. Experience was not as "smooth and seemless" as advertised on TV. Salesperson had to be CONTINUALLY asked to wear his mask; sales person knew from inter action the day before that there was a high probability we would be purchasing the car we were interested. Never again! I have just under 6000 miles on my 2019 Camry, purchased October 2019 and these people keep telling me that I need my third service! I took it in and some service agent, who’s name didn’t match his name tag, tried to talk me into an alignment! After over a week of shopping on CarGurus, I found what I was looking for at Camelback Toyota. I spoke to the internet sales manager Ryan who assured me the truck had gone through Toyota’s 150 point inspection. The next day Amanda drove the vehicle to my home for a test drive. The first thing I noticed is that the aftermarket key fob wasn’t functioning properly which I mentioned to Amanda. I am very disappointed with my recent purchase experience of a Certified Pre-Owned Toyota and subsequent service from Camelback Toyota. It all started with difference in the price of the vehicle from what I signed with the sales person and what finance presented to me. Camelback Toyota delivered the vehicle with a large area of clear coat missing on the driver’s door, and has not been fixed. Purchased a new Tundra & Rav4 here in 2017 and were happy with them. Deal was reached and paperwork ready when we arrived. His truck was rear-ended and totalled in 2018 and tried to replace with another Tundra (would have been our 3rd). Sales department was useless. Every communication consisted of come lounge around the lot. They refused to broker any semblance of a deal without driving 4 hours.
