What You’ll Do:

We’re looking for a high-impact Director of Product Marketing to lead a dynamic team of product marketers and sit at the intersection of Marketing and Product. Reporting to the VP of Product Marketing, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the short and long-term business, overseeing programs across the entire product marketing landscape including GTM strategy, positioning and messaging, pricing and packaging, and customer, market and competitor research.

We’re looking for a highly collaborative strategic leader and customer advocate with experience leading product marketing teams in a high growth environment and a proven track record of high impact contributions. You will bring strong strategic thinking, marketing abilities, and technical savvy to understand our target markets and use those insights to create actionable business plans.

You and your team will play a pivotal role in developing and translating customer and market insights to help drive product strategy and shape our roadmap. You’ll bring these products to market and work closely with Product, Marketing, Enablement, and Sales to orchestrate amazing product launches that drive revenue growth across segments.


Market Expertise, Research & Insights
  • Become a domain expert for Birdeye and our markets. Deeply understand our target market, pain points, market trends, competitive landscape, differentiators, and value proposition.
  • Conduct user, market, and competitive research to help our Product team build high-value, differentiated products, and inform our company’s future vision and strategy.
  • Champion the customer and advocate for research and insights to own the voice of the customer, and leverage those data and insights to help drive strategy.

Business, Product & Pricing Strategy

  • Evaluate business opportunities to optimize the product portfolio through primary research, analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market needs & trends, the value of the opportunity, customer business issues, and the competitive position of Birdeye offerings.
  • Partner with product management leadership and establish a continuous feedback loop that encompasses customer input, market trends, and competitive factors to influence product development.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Product to refine our pricing and packaging strategy to create maximum customer value and accelerate revenue growth.

Messaging & Positioning & Pricing

  • Demonstrate excellence in distilling product complexity into differentiated, memorable, and ready-to-use positioning and messaging. Tailor value props by audience, vertical, segment, and other key dimensions.
  • Produce world-class product content including thought leadership content, website content, webinars, product sheets, solution guides, and more.
  • Enable the marketing and support teams to amplify your efforts by creating content and guidelines for external marketing campaigns (blog, help articles, how-to videos, emails, etc).

GTM Strategy & Execution

  • Define, lead, and execute GTM strategies to drive adoption for new features and product releases.
  • Supervise and communicate progress on plans, roadblocks and mitigation approaches.
  • Own GTM campaigns from end to end. Manage targeting and segmentation, messaging, content, planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Partner with Product, Customer Success, and Marketing to execute GTM plans across channels.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to track, measure and report against objectives and determine campaign and sales success.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a world-class Product Marketing team to be experts in the voice of the customer, market insights, masterminds of positioning and messaging, enablers of sales, accelerators of adoption, and developers of go-to-market strategy.
  • Establish and lead best-in-class product marketing frameworks, process and principles, including defining and driving KPIs for the team.
  • Develop and establish deeply collaborative cross-functional partnerships with leaders and colleagues across Product, Design, Customer Support, Community, Sales and Marketing to enable the team and drive a consistent customer experience.


  • 8+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, including 2+ years in a management role
  • Proven track record leading a team of high-performing product marketers and building high-impact, collaborative relationships across the org
  • Analytical and data-driven decision maker who is adept at problem framing, implementing strategic business recommendations, and using customer and market insights to inform and influence the best product for our customers
  • Curious, resourceful, and adaptable; eager to dive in and solve problems, talk to people, do research, and then share what you’ve learned and turn insights into action.
  • A desire to work both at a strategic level and tactically on projects and campaigns, willingness to be both a player and a coach
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Excellent communicator with a strong executive presence
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or equivalent field of study; graduate degree a plus
  • Pragmatic Marketing Certification is a bonus
