Since we moved we have taken our animals. Today, I dropped the kids off and had a cat & dog appointment. I ended up getting in early. (Thankfully for Starbucks was quick today). The folks at checkin were great, and put me into a room. I was 25mins early. Caught up on work email and calls. However, I had to listen to the folks in the back, complaining about me being early. I was polite and said nothing. However, pretty annoyed. I get I was early. I did not request to be put in a room. I was sipping my coffee and working via e... read more

Nice people but this place is extremely expensive. 3.8lb puppy. $47.50 for a nail trim. How?

Business response:

Caring Hands Animal Hospital tries to stay competitive with the other hospitals in the area. Factors like our late evening, Saturday hours, multiple doctors on each shift to accommodate the demand for appointments, and current quality equipment on site to uphold our standards of care do contribute to our overhead costs and pricing structure. If you would like to send me the quotes you were given for services elsewhere, I would be happy to look at and evaluate our pricing. Again, thank you for the feedback.

Dr. Neuman is good but you can't get an appointment with him. The other vets vary between ok and awful. They're expensive and they do unnecessary procedures. If your dog has fleas, instead of just looking for them, they'll charge you $400+ for a skin scraping to tell you it's a flea allergy...all while fleas are jumping around. My dog got cancer, the vet knew from a blood test, and because she didn't think I could afford chemo, she refused to tell me. For 3+ years. Instead she sent me to expensive specialists when cancer sy... read more

I have two cats. I have taken them to Caring Hands for their yearly checkups for several years after moving into the area. At my checkup last summer, they informed me that my younger cat, who was 5 years old at the time, needed teeth cleaning and also several teeth removed. He was found as a stray and had chipped some teeth at some point. However, I had had him for a few years. He never had any problem, he eats his hard food, and I never noticed an issue. They gave me an estimate starting at $1600 because they "did not kno... read more

I wish I could give 0 stars, but that is a shortcoming of Yelp. Please consider this a 0 star review as well as a warning to NOT BRING YOUR PET here for any surgery. I sent the information below to the Caring Hands people, but since they have chosen to ignore what they did to our Leonberger, who had a front limb amputation, I feel compelled to warn any others out there that may be planning on bringing their pet to this practice for surgery - DO NOT DO IT, please read how they allowed our beautiful boy to die. When we picked... read more

Took my cat, my best friend, in during March. Got a vaccine shot. Next day he had leg issues. Was told to take him to specialist. Ended up with neurological issues and blood clot. Yesterday I had to bury him. Can't be certain it was their fault but little empathy for his issues.

I liked the care at Caring Hands but it's 30+ days to get an appointment anymore. My dog has a very fast growing growth on his ear and I still can't get him in. They should not be taking new clients if they can't serve their existing clients. It's insane that you have to wait 30 days for what could very well be cancer - they just don't care. Greed is what it is. Finding a new vet, hopefully my dog doesn't die before...

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand the frustration in seeking care for your sick pet. We see our patients by appointment and do our best to fit urgent care appointments in, but we feel it is important to have a limit to provide the best patient care.We hope you understand the position we are in during this difficult time.

Called to see if there were any available appointments for my dog who was seriously ill and was told by the curt front desk staff member that she would send his records via email. When asked why, she stated that "in the event he needed to seek care elsewhere" and to which I attempted to clarify with her then confirming that they would not be to assist. If you're looking for a small clinic in a strip mall for annual physicals then this is it. If you want comprehensive care and vets who care for you furry friend in need...sear... read more

I actually waited a few days to write this review, because I was so upset with what happened with my cat last weekend I needed to calm down to stay as objective as possible. But I still feel so strongly that I need to share. Overall: If you are looking for a vet to neuter/spay and give basic vaccines, this is a great place to go. The staff is friendly, great follow up, and my kitten recovered from neutering flawlessly. But if you need help with anything out of the ordinary, if your pet gets sick or injured, this is NOT the... read more
