I needed to take my dog in for an emergency appointment and my regular vet was not able to take her that day. I called Caring Hands and they were able to see my dog right away in the morning. They were efficient, caring, and well priced compared to where I was going before. I believe it is safe to say Caring Hands will be my new regular clinic.

My wife and I have a female Weimaraner, Mia, that we consider our daughter. Mia came from a rescue and we adopted her in 2009. She is exceedingly precious and dear to us. Recently, she got into a minor confrontation with another dog. Although I initially thought she was unscathed from this, I looked down and saw a small amount of blood on the ground. My boyfriend and I took our 12 week old puppy to Caring Hands for a check-up a couple days after we got her. She is a rescue and had a couple of small injuries from wherever she came from that I wanted to get a professional opinion and advice about. I cannot begin to speak highly enough about this place. From the moment I called for an appointment to walking out the door I was given the BEST customer service, and the Veterinarian Dr Snelgrove was very compassionate, sweet and answered all my questions. I was definitely put at ease, because having to take my kitten to the Vet on a Saturday wasn't easy. I even got a follow up phone call to check on my little girl. Thank you Caring Hands! Dr. Snelgrove and the vet tech staff were amazing. They saw me right away, and at every opportunity, provided excellent and thorough care, and made sure to give me a discount as much as possible. I'm happy I found a vet that I can trust with my best friend.

Wonderful! I've been taking my Miniature Schnauzer to Caring Hands for 6 years since she was a puppy. I started at the Glebe location and switched to Alexandria when they opened. My dog has a history of health issues including bladders stones, pancreatitis, heart murmur, growths etc. Dr. Planeta is amazing and really cares about her patients. I found Caring Hands after adopting my kitty, Toby, earlier this year. Thankfully have only needed routine visits but my experience with Caring Hands staff and Dr Evans have been great! Receptionists and vet techs are friendly and Dr Evans takes her time to make sure all questions are answered and all recommendations are clear. So glad I found Caring Hands!

I am not even sure where to begin... I have a 3 year English bulldog who I adore I refer to him as my son lol. He had been passing stones for about a year and they had started to happen frequently. Unfortunately a large stone got stuck in his urethra causing him to strain to pee. He was throwing up a lot Sunday and he was rushed to ER and stopped breathing while they tried to put the catheter in :-( he vomited from all the sedatives that TLC gave him :(. What a wonderful Place to take our furbabies. We are a military family and moving with our geriatric pets is always a stressful time. Finding a new Vet at each new place can be nerveracking. Caring Hands has such a great reputation that we decided they would be the place we tried after we arrived in the area. We could not be happier with that decision.
