I've been in the DMV since 2013 with my dog, Chloe. She's now almost 13 and this has been by far the best veterinary practice I've found in the area. We were actually going to another Caring Hands but when a medical emergency came up - only the Clarendon office had a slot for Chloe - and I'm so happy it worked out that way! Dr. Thornton is excellent - I feel like I can ask her all the questions I need to and I never feel rushed here. I've never had an excessive wait or had any issues getting my dog the care she needs. Our first visit to Caring Hands Clarendon was completely random. They had just opened and we were passing by. Earlier that evening, I noticed a bump on our young BMD's leg and since Caring Hands was open late (new dog owners take note of hours), we just walked in. I've had good experiences with the veterinarians, especially Dr. Campfield, but the front desk staff has been mediocre at best. My dog had an ear infection and I called several times over the weekend and was told the next available appointment was in 2 weeks. I was very concerned and the only advice I was given was to try another Caring Hands location. Brought Max here for a hot spot and to update his vaccines because our normal vet was booked after many recommendations. I will say, this place was phenomenal! All the staff were great that I spoke to and very helpful! The doctor made me feel comfortable with everything while I wasn't able to be inside with Max for the exam. The receptionists on the phone were marvelous too! If we weren't moving out of state Max would be going here from now on! If you need a vet I HIGHLY recommend them!

Just wanted to share the great experience with Caring Hands Animal Hospital. We adopted 2 little kittens Obi and Stella (9 weeks old) 3 weeks ago and they were been having terrible diarrhea with blood in our first week. I called Caring Hands on Sunday at 9 a.m and they gave me an appointment at 11:30. Best vet in NOVA! They truly care for your animal and the front desk is quick and highly respectful. Their hours are also a big help if you need a late appointment. These guys are the best!

We switched to Caring Hands as our old vet got too expensive--sure enough, our dog Nola is getting super care at a better value. From teeth extraction to checkups, we're super happy. Plus they're set up to continue giving great care through the coronavirus threat with a super protocol.

Dr. Campfield and her team go above and beyond every time - it is peace of mind knowing that I can trust them with routine checks and with important decisions about my dogs health and wellbeing. If you're looking for a vet that you can trust, that will care about your furry family, look no further. Caring Hands Clarendon is where you need to be. This practice is absolutely amazing in every way and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
