We can't say enough good things about this company. Every person we met was professional, kind and caring about us and our possessions, and easy to work with. We have hired movers in the past and it was always a nightmare; just the opposite with Carmack. Every piece of furniture was carefully packed in padding inside the house, moved to the moving van, transported across the country, and moved into place in our new house here in Florida. So far, the move has gone well. The packing crew arrived on time on a Friday morning and completed the packing very quickly. The moving crew arrived the next morning exactly on schedule. All of our items were packed into crates and then transported to storage. Again, this phase also went well. Everything that was to be transported to storage was, and everything that was not to be stored was not. Very well. Items were very professionally packed and everything arrived in great condition. We ended up storing our items with themover for longer than anticipated, which ran upthe cost exponentially. Cost listed below is for the move only minus thsstorage costs. We hada full household of heavy furniture and many boxes. Move household items from McLean to Oakton, Virginia (about 5 miles).

Excellent. Very responsive. Great customer service and they were able to accommodate my needs with only a few weeks notice at the height of moving season. Packed me out and put crates into storage.
