Not Nice Enough My room was dated with older bedding (comforter) and tired amenities. The TV Chanel changer was ancient and worn and didn’t even turn the TV on. My room was right over the street near Ocean Ave and there is a fair bit of traffic. I ultimately couldn’t spend the night here and would not recommend this place. Prices in Carmel in the summer are very high and this hotel was within my work budget. The woman at the desk was pleasant. The location is convenient to the Main Street.
Inconceivable Reserved a room for 4 adults and 1 child. Arrived after a very long drive. However, they only had rooms for 4 people. No flexibility and rude. Had to find another place. Booking customer service ineffective.
50th wedding anniversary soured by rip off for room upgrade Will this be the last time I use Booking I did not have the opportunity to reject room upgrade .It was automatic when I clicked on SEE IF YOU CAN GET A BETTER ROOM even though I MESSAGED YOU THAT I DID NOT WANT THE UPGRADE IN SPACE PROVIDED ON YOUR SITE. location great but terrible furnishings inside the room the furniture inside the room. the large picture hung over the bed was crooked and the tv was way too small location was excellent but the furniture inside the room was dirty and old
Disappointed Couldn’t get tv to work no remote provided. Bed hard as a rock. Room very small queen bed up against the wall couldn’t get into it easily. No hangers to hang clothes Good location, clean
Not the anniversary I envisioned in Carmel. Disappointing choice. NO internet service available. I needed it for a court related video call. No where to plug in electronics in the room. VERY dated interior. Breakfast in a bag was disappointing. Staff was somewhat helpful and arranged another room at another of their properties in another town nearby. Parking was available. Location is excellent. Quiet location.
Fair Bathroom fan didn't work. Satellite TV was confusing. Bathroom door didn't latch. Few electrical outlets. Neighbors were noisy. Room door hard to open. Phone didn't work. Cute, old-fashioned room.
Carmel was beautiful, but I would not stay at this location again. The room was dark and the decor was very outdated. The property looked very run down. I thought it was very overpriced for what you got. The location was good.
