Removal and disposal of old flooring on the entire 1st floor, including carpet, linoleum (including underlayment) and old hardwoods. This company installed Shaw wall-to-wall carpet in a 2 room suite plus stairs in an above the garage suite. I chose this company based on Angie's List recommendations. I dealt with Mike, the owner, who responded quickly to set up an appointment. He did not pressure me, try to upsell me or pull any other kind of nonsense. Work done: Original floorings torn out and replaced: Laminate installed on first floor - carpeting on stairs and upper floor. Quick response to initial call and appointment to schedule in home estimate. Mike was very helpful in providing all options and did not put any pressure on selection. We had some water damage in our kitchen. Carolina In Home Flooring picked up where the restoration company left off. They removed the remainder of the previous laminate, replaced some sub-flooring, and then installed new laminate in my kitchen, breakfast nook, coat closet, hallway, powder room and laundry room. Replace carpet on stairs and upstairs...which included taking out old carpet. Big job, but the two workers stayed on task all day and finally finished about 6pm. There was a difference of opinion as to the quality of the lowest 5 steps. The carpet did not fall straight as it decended the last 5 steps. The two workers agreed but after trying to resolve, decided to call the owner of the company. He came out the next day. We had hardwood floors (sand in place) installed in our bonus room and the lower landing. We also had the oak steps and handrail (which had already been installed) finished to match the new floor and landing. The final result is very good. We did have to ask for the shoe molding to be sanded again and have another coat, as well as some small touch up on the hand rail. These things were taken care of. Mike came out and measured the area. He is the sole owner and salesperson for the company. He is very personable. He has some installers who have worked for him for 11 years. Oscar and another young man came, removed the existing carpet, and installed the hardword floor. We had removed breakable items, but they moved and replaced the furniture. Installation of hardwood flooring and transition pieces. Mike agreed to let me take up the old floor and prep the area for a new one. This further decreased our cost. Raul did a great job and laid the entire floor in one day. He had to go to the warehouse and get some transition pieces but was back the following work day and the job was complete. He was very courteous and polite. I was very happy with the job and the hardwood flooring. I would hire Carolina flooring again for additional work. Nice Job!

Removed existing carpet from 3 rooms and prepped floors for hardwood installation. Installed new hardwood flooring in 3 rooms, matching the color and pattern of the existing flooring exactly.
