Mum was moved from the house she was born in and lived in for 94 years having been diagnosed with dementia. She was confused, upset and understandably took some time to settle. The care and patience demonstrated by all the staff were unrelenting. It gave the family great peace of mind to see her looking well dressed and healthy whenever we visited and it was a great comfort to us all when she passed to feel the genuine loss and sadness expressed by all the staff. When Mum developed dementia and was not able to care for herself, we were at our wit's end having been let down by a care home. I had heard of Carter House Care & Nursing home and knew people who had family members there. I contacted them and they came to visit Mum straight away. We were faced with moving her from the only home she had ever known for all of her 94 years, into Carter House in April 2018. She passed peacefully last month. Very friendly place. Care seems good on first visit this time. As a side note, my mother was a resident briefly in 2006.

I have always found the staff to be extremely caring and respectful towards my aunt. She is very happy and always smiling. The staff dress her well and with thought. She is well presented whenever I visit. There is a lovely, caring atmosphere in the home and I am always made to feel welcome.

My mother has been a resident in Carter House for over six years. Although the home may not be as well presented and modern as many, the staff are warm and friendly and have taken great care of mum over the years.

We were lucky that my father could spend the last few months at Carter House care home. Lovely that we could visit with his dog. The nursing care provided was exceptional.
