Disappointed with thevet who recommended putting our dog down and was not interested in even trying to save him. He was nearly 16 but still had a good life. I will always be frustrated that this vet had already made up her mind that he could not survive. They seem focused on euthanasia versus trying to save him. Will never recommend! And did I mention that it took two weeks to refund the unused part of the thousands of dollars deposit I had to put down before they would even see my dog. Shameful! First of all I have to thank the team there for taking care of my baby boy. My dog jumped out of a window and broke his elbow. He has severe separation anxiety and figured that the fastest way to get to me was out the window. Lo and behold he could not fly. We rushed him to the vet, which was this one in Charleston. We are from North Carolina so we are not familiar with this Vet. They did heavily sedate him and take x-rays. They helped him remain calm and took good care of him. I have been trying to make an appointment with the oncology department for a few days. I have called multiple times which always goes to voicemail and left several messages. I spoke to the operator after never being able to get a hold of someone in oncology and was told Jesse from oncology would call me back. I have yet to receive a call back. When I have brought my dog in, they do a good job but the appointment department needs work.

Do not bring any animal here. We brought our dog Ditka here because his usual vet was closed. Ditka had a tumor that burst that we did not know existed. Up until he collapsed he was always full of life and just acted like a puppy. The staff came off kind and compassionate. I begged them to tell us if there was a way to save him where he would have very little suffering and have him recover and if not to please tell us so that we can put him down with little suffering. I absolutely do not recommend this place. They are not considerate whatsoever with your time or money. I brought my cat in recently around 5pm and was told by them that she would need surgery. They told me it would be $6,400. I look at the itemized receipt, $45 to throw away her trash, $48 for ice, ridiculously overcharging me and trying to rush me to get her back there. Only selected 1 star because I had to..I have to travel for work. My baby girl was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (Bone Cancer) April 2022. She has been doing very well, so well a vet in Pittsburgh commented on how well she is doing considering she was given 6 months to live 9 months ago. I have encountered vets on our travels who have been SO AMAZING!! Sent my dog home early because she was "strong" died within 12 hours of being home. Best 2k I ever spent. I'm not even mad she died and they didn't do their job and wasted my money, but they weren't even honest. I've had vets tell me straight up a dog isn't going to make it, there's not much we can do, and then there's vets who give you false hope and take your money. And they haven't given me a call back since I called and told them. The lady was just like I'll have the doctor call you back and haven't heard since.

Used to be great but customer service and pet care both have gone downhill tremendously over the years. Impossible to get answers from doctors unless you're speaking to them in person and the receptionists are rude or give you the run-around when you attempt to get answers from them regarding your pets care. I would suggest finding somewhere else.

I made several calls and attempts to have my 5 year old Irish Setter admitted into the ER Intensive care to begin treatment for Blastomyscosis -a fungal disease that kills dogs quickly. I was told if I came thru the ER that there is "no guarantee" that he would be seen by an Internal Medicine specialist or the ER Dr would know how to treat the disease.
