We have always been treated well, both as patients and caregivers. Treated our family well under stressful circumstances. Very high quality care and practitioners with advanced knowledge allows an option for critical medical care.

Brought my dog here for issues with seizures and had appointment with Dr Clare. She is the best! Very knowledgeable and didn't try selling anything to us that wasn't necessary which was very refreshing. Staff there is friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend if you need a great place for your fur babies.

CVRC took great care of my large breed dog. We were seen quickly in the middle of the night and I was kept updated and informed about his care. I knew he was in great hands when he needed to stay the night. The staff were all friendly and kind. The vet came up with a plan and gave options about his care based on my preference. He's recovering at home now. We're lucky to have a great place so close to home!

It is one year after Angel, my now 16-year-old chihuahua's surgery. Without Charleston Veterinary Referral Center and Dr. Patricia Sura, Angel would not be alive today. She is active, healthy, healed, and living comfortably. Every single day I am grateful for the team that helped us. While I was told the surgery may only extend her life a few months, here we are a year later, and doing great! I will never forget this place. They gave me hope and followed through with it when other places said Angel would not make it. Thank y... read more

The staff members are kind, welcoming and professional. They make you feel like your family member has been left in the right hands. They are flexible with scheduling and understanding when it comes to things that pop up and cannot be controlled. Treatment is top notch and they take the time to ensure you personally understand what it is they are doing and why.

I haven't read all the posted reviews, but I am surprised to see an aggregate of only 4 stars; this place is tops! Aside from being the ONLY credentialed Level 1 comprehensive emergency treatment center in the entire state, the staff - from specialty trained Veterinarians to certified Technicians - are amazing, compassionate and accommodating professionals. I'm so grateful that I live so close. But yesterday was a special day as Sterling was finally able to give some aid to his sick buddies by donating blood! He is now pr... read more

You saved my dog's life as far as I am concerned by closely analyzing Moose's bloodwork in order to properly diagnose him.

My dog has a rare problem which i sadly, either mast cell carcinoma OR lacrimal gland cyst. This is he 4th vet ceter I've taken her to for diagnosis. The other vets were good but only one did a biopsy which was inconclusive--twice. Charleston Verterinary Referral Center has equipment and facilities to do an x-ray and then follow up care.

I really appreciated how quickly CVRC was able to work in my pup, Chipper. During my introduction with Karrie, I felt like she did a great job explaining to me the process of the initial visit and what I could expect. Once the first session was over, Karrie came out to discuss the results and talk through her recommended treatment plan for my dog. She answered all of my questions and I feel like she really listened to my concerns without ever making me feel rushed. I love that I got a video of Chipper doing the exercises sin... read more
