I haven't read all the posted reviews, but I am surprised to see an aggregate of only 4 stars; this place is tops! Aside from being the ONLY credentialed Level 1 comprehensive emergency treatment center in the entire state, the staff - from specialty trained Veterinarians to certified Technicians - are amazing, compassionate and accommodating professionals. I'm so grateful that I live so close. But yesterday was a special day as Sterling was finally able to give some aid to his sick buddies by donating blood! He is now pr... read more

You saved my dog's life as far as I am concerned by closely analyzing Moose's bloodwork in order to properly diagnose him.

My dog has a rare problem which i sadly, either mast cell carcinoma OR lacrimal gland cyst. This is he 4th vet ceter I've taken her to for diagnosis. The other vets were good but only one did a biopsy which was inconclusive--twice. Charleston Verterinary Referral Center has equipment and facilities to do an x-ray and then follow up care.

I really appreciated how quickly CVRC was able to work in my pup, Chipper. During my introduction with Karrie, I felt like she did a great job explaining to me the process of the initial visit and what I could expect. Once the first session was over, Karrie came out to discuss the results and talk through her recommended treatment plan for my dog. She answered all of my questions and I feel like she really listened to my concerns without ever making me feel rushed. I love that I got a video of Chipper doing the exercises sin... read more

I've been bringing my own dogs and dogs from rescue to CVRC for 10 years. Dr. Rissetto - oncologist - is the BEST! Dr. Rissetto is so good about communicating - she texted late last night to let us know lab results.

My overall experience was so amazing! Every staff member including the doctor was so attentive to my dog and made us feel so comfortable. We hardly had to wait and were able to check in on the phone ahead of time. I wish they provided normal vet services, that's how much I loved them! Providing my dog and I with a reasonable care plan.

There are not enough nice words to describe these folks. Let me set the scene: the Monday night before Hurricane Ian. One of our babies started to bloat and was in obvious distress. Our vet referred us out to these folks. The did some minor testing and found out Willow's bloating was actually blood. We had already done some reading and knew what was coming. Either a really expensive bill and only a few extra months, or to say goodbye. They gave us all the time in the world to make a decision. We called our daughter that's i... read more

In the last few months, my dad and my sister have both brought their pets to Charleston Vet in emergency situations and had nothing but amazing experiences. I knew I could trust their judgement. It was 10pm on the Friday beginning Labor Day Weekend.. My pup, Dewey (15lbs) and the other pup (100lb) collided.. my little Dewey seemed as if he had gotten a concussion. He was stumbling, breathing heavily, his body went limp, whining, tongue out the side of his mouth, and couldn't keep his eyes open; I was an absolute wreck, to sa... read more
