Had a five star experience at Chelsea Eye! I went to Dr Yoon for an eye exam and she was extremely friendly, helpful and down to earth! I have met all the staff and they are very friendly and easy to talk to. Hugo in particular was wonderful to work with during the exam. It was a breathe of fresh air coming to this practice and I highly recommend going here for an Optometry appointment or Opthalmology appointment with Dr Coad.

I had the LASIK procedure done with Dr. Coad and Nicole last week, and I can't imagine it going more smoothly. They were supportive and friendly throughout the process, joking around and overall creating a comfortable atmosphere. I also appreciate them being so thorough with all the checks and clear explanations about each step. I'm excited to see without glasses now!

This practice has everything. Dr. Coad, who has cared for my eyes for years, is at the top of his field. Last year he did cataract surgery for me that improved the vision in that eye from 20/200 to 20/20! He spent the time answering every question I had and making sure I was comfortable with the process. OK, there are a lot of great doctors in NY. Dr Coad and Nicole were both absolutely wonderful. After my brother had LASIK surgery, I decided to go ahead and do the same. Both Nicole and Dr. Coad are very proficient in their work. They answered any and all questions that I had, and calmed every nervous feeling that arose from the start, up until the surgery. My first trip to an ophthalmologist in NYC and I was not disappointed! The service was marvelous; after a short wait and a complimentary tea I was seen by KY who tenderly carried out the first procedure whilst explaining every step. Was then seen by Dr. Jay Yoon who was simply delightful and clearly knows her eyeballs, I was given a thorough check up, all my questions were answered knowledgeably and my jokes were tolerated, Dr Yoon clearly also has marvelous bedside manner. Highly recommend!

Dr. Coad and his staff made the experience of having a cataract removed the best it could possibly be, from evaluation to discussing options to being reassuring when the surgery began, to follow-up. The evaluation process was efficient, yet at no time did I feel as if it was anything but personal. His staff at all times were both professional and welcoming. I was recommended to Dr. Coad by another doctor of mine, but to do my due diligence I consulted with 4 other Lasik practices and found Dr. Coad at Chelsea Eye Opthamology to be the most comprehensive and thorough with their testing. Cannot recommend Dr Coad & his lasik coordinator Nicole enough. They are wonderfully supportive and gentle that even if you are nervous it will be difficult to stay that way around this supportive duo! Without a doubt recommend going to see them, they are worth the additional care and cost for a full-service experience that are there just to help you & give you the best vision possible.
