I am a great fan of Chelsea Eye Ophthalmology! I was referred by a friend who had gotten LASIK a few months ago and had a great experience, and I have to wholeheartedly agree with her. Dr. Coad was completely professional and personable. He went through the entire procedure and was a very reassuring presence. Special shout out to Elizabeth Simeone, the LASIK coordinator. I had LASIK surgery by Dr. Coad at Chelsea Eye Ophthalmology a little over a month ago and was waiting to see how things went before leaving this review. Happy to report I now have 20/15 vision in both eyes (that's better than 20/20). Overall, I had a great experience! After 25 years seeing this eye group they dumped my insurance. I found out only when I confirmed an appointment in 2 days( which I made a month ago). I was not grandfathered in I and so many others are victim to their gr17theed. Watch out you may me next!

Elizabeth and Dr. Coad were beyond amazing throughout my Lasik experience. I had absolutely no pain from the procedure to recovery and just had my post-op and I'm 20/20! I recommend 100%!!

when you go to dr christopher t coad, you get the up most top notch eye care, ive been going there for years and his bed sid manners are really top notch i go there for years across from the fire house on 19 st between 6th and 7th ave in chesea

I checked out a couple of other Manhattan doctors before finding Dr. Coad and his awesome assistant Elizabeth. I had debated for years about whether or not to have LASIK but wanted to find the right practice to carry it out. These guys were amazing, attentive, instructive, reassuring all the way through - and the result is awesome. They made it so easy, zapped at 8 pm, follow-up the next morning and straight back to the office. I should have done it years ago and could not recommend these guys highly enough. Just completed my one month post surgery check up at Chelsea Eye Ophthalmology and happy to report that I have 20/20 vision. I am so satisfied with my results and I want to thank Elizabeth Simeone, the LASIK Coordinator, and of course Dr. Coad. I went to a consultation with Dr Coad and I felt very comfortable getting the surgery done with him. I had a second consultation already scheduled at another Lasik Center and they said I was not a candidate. Dr Coad called me personally to make sure I was comfortable that we were doing the right surgery and offered to do additional tests. He also had no problem with me getting a third opinion. I feel very comfortable knowing that Dr Coad was right and I look forward to my surgery.
