I am looking for a vet that will see you with your pet. Cheyenne Tonopah used to have personalized services, but since Dr. Wilson sold it to a group, one can no longer go in with your pet. They blame construction as their excuse for not giving a personalized service! It has been around 1 year, and they are still "under construction". Doctor "V" is still great, but I want to discuss my pet's problems with the Vet, not the assistants I am searching for another reasonably priced vet in this area. Any suggestions, with the reas... read more
Business response:
Hi Bill, we are sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your pet's visit. We aim to provide the highest quality of care to your furry friend and are saddened that you felt otherwise. Our construction has taken so much longer than predicted and we apologize for your experience not being the personalized one that we always strive for. Our hospital will be open for clients by the end of the year and we hope that you will give us another chance.
I have brought all my animals to Cheyenne Tonopah clinic for over 25 years. I recently received a quote from hunter for $475 to spay my Labrador retriever. He specifically said " $475 for spay and some meds to take home with your pup." I booked an appointment with DR V to perform surgery for following Thursday. I dropped my pup off Thursday morning and was contacted about 30 minutes later to approve an additional charge of $80 because she was in active heat cycle, which I approved and should have brought total bill to approx... read more

Showed up for an urgent appointment and when calling in, to check in. I was told my appointment was on the previous day not the day that I showed up. I specifically stated a day I had availability and she confirmed. What she noted in her system, after that I dont know. When I left feedback that I know I scheduled it for the day that I was present for, the tone was as though I was out of sorts and unorganized. I am not. From the other reviews it appears that the staff there has issues with communication. The fact that I didn'... read more

Nirah, we are truly sorry to hear you had a negative experience with us. Our number one goal is to offer exceptional care and service, so please know we take this feedback seriously. We have shared your comments internally and will be working hard to ensure that our team is confirming appointments and making our clients and patients feel as important as we believe they are.
While euthanizing my 18year old min Poodle the vet said that my dog was fighting to live. Why didn't I demand for him to stop the procedure, was it too late? Maybe my decision had been premature. I was so afraid of my baby boy suffering; he was having so many bad days and his legs were failing him. Dozens of times/day he would get stuck because he no longer knew how to back up or turn around when he encountered a wall or he would get stuck under a chair or his legs would fail and he was unable to get up. He was experienc... read more
AVOID. Zero empathy for your pets. First off you're not allowed to enter the building due to remodeling, so I waited in my car for 2 hours while my cat was getting test work. NEVER saw Dr. Mendez we only talked over the phone. He never came out of the building. They gave my cat medicine which caused an allergic reaction & as I was pulling out of the parking lot my cat started panting HEAVILY and difficulty breathing. I called and they said it's normal he's probably stressed. I even texted two videos to them & they said it's... read more
It used to be the best when Dr Wilson was Dr V were the main two with Dr Wilson as owner. Now they constantly spam your phone. In addition, heartworm testing protocol is annually and they won't refill my dog's prescription originally stating because I moved out of state. Later they called saying it's past 6 months. Further, Dr V is out in family leave and although he will refill up to a year (standard protocol) the other vets refuse because "they didn't see my dog.".MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! They even state annually considering... read more

Hi Kevin, we are sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your pet's visit. We aim to provide the highest quality of care to your furry friend and are saddened that you felt otherwise. We do require regular and consistent bloodwork and any deviation from this protocol is up to the specific veterinarian as it directly affects your pet's health. We do appreciate your loyalty to Dr. V and if you would like to call back when he returns from vacation, we can discuss your issue with him as he may be more familiar with your pets.
Don't ask to have your elderly dogs kidneys and lungs checked. The bloodwork and x-ray will cost you 719.00. Yes, you heard me 719.00, if you think that's a deal by all means Cheyenne Tonopah Animal Hospital is for you. And they don't say a word until their are all done and had you the bill. I was completely blown away.
Business response:

We have been clients of Cheyenne Tonopah Animal clinic for over twenty years. Unfortunately since they were taken over by a corporation, the care has deteriorated to very poor. Recently, I waited for over an hour in the parking lot for a specific lab test. When the dog was released, after many follow up phone calls, the bill was for a number of un requested labs tests. I had waited in my car for my pet unable to communicate. Because of continued renovations, the owners are not allowed in the building with the pet. So... read more

Kathleen, we know your time is valuable and can assure you we make every effort to see clients in a timely manner. Emergency cases take priority at times and do cause inevitable delays and we are working to reduce wait times as a result of the construction. We always try to communicate our wait times to the best of our ability. With regards to the fees, we recently changed our protocols so that vaccines are given yearly rather than every six months, but they do require an annual exam. If there were charges that were unclear,... read more
This review is based on staff communication and hospital management only. The Dr I spoke to was pretty nice and explained everything but the whole hospital staff needs to work on a lot. We had an appointment for our dog at 12:30pm, called the clinic and was given paperwork at around 12:40pm and was told they would be right back. After half an hour of waiting, we called the hospital back exposing there there having been people coming and going from the parking lot while we're still Out here waiting to be seen. The person (w... read more
