I strongly advise against working with Costal Moving Services.?We initially spoke with a representative named ****, who quoted us an attractive rate and emphasized that the company was ranked #3 nationally. Literally nothing they say ever ends up what they end up doing. They raised the price on me 3 times when I gave them all the information they needed from the start. They wanted to charge me extra because they couldnt get an 18 ******* in to my neighborhood. Mind you this isnt what they picked my stuff in. My experience with Coastal Moving Services is probably the worst example of ethics in business I have ever been a part of. Their business ethic is greed and not customer service. ******* ***** had one thing in mind and that was not to help me, but to manipulate me and basically steal $2700 from me without using a gun. If I could give 0 stars I would. Please please please go with any other moving company. I am a young woman who was moving alone and thought a moving company would make my life easier coastal moving did the opposite. The price ended up being twice what was estimated and I didnt add any extra items, they price based on cubic ft in the truck NOT by number/size of items. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! THEY LIE.Horrible experience - 3 weeks to get delivery - but they insisted it would only take 5 days! Charged over $1000 more than "Binding Estimate". HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - scammers. I was quoted a long distance move for 3041 dollars and that it would be delivered in 10 -14 days. I paid the deposit confirmed all the sizes of my stuff (giving exact sizes of the boxes). They originally told me they were picking up my stuff on Monday, July 28th they cancelled day of and moved it July 29th. Once the movers showed up they told me it was 5900. DOUBLE THE PRICE. We had the great misfortune of being forced into the hands of We-Haul after hiring Coastal Moving Services to take care of our move from ******* to ********. This company started out great with excellent communication. I received my quote and paid up front and got everything set up, then the wheels fell off. They subbed my job out to a company that has a 1 star rating on here with tons of negative reviews, all stating the same thing. As I started to complain about the subs service, Coastal went silent.
