Absolute sheisters from the first phone call. Said what she needed to get the job. All lies and misinformation. Never given the same arrival time twice and then threatening to add 500 dollar fees if you DARE to not be there when they decide to pop over. I booked a move through Coastal Moving Services with ******************* March 2024 who promised they will the best moving company with the lowest rate with everything included: they would break down and reassemble furniture, and if we add packing they will pack and unpack our things. He assured me he would be a point of contact for me the entire process and that if we move more items than initially estimated, the rate per cubic feet would remain the same. My initial experience with the sales rep was great and I thought I could trust this company. He quoted me a price and then discounted it by about $400. 3 days before the move, the price went up because he had left off some items from the quote. I added the items back and paid an additional roughly $170. Fine. I should've realized he missed a couple things. Read the Yelp reviews! All are consistent with the "bait and switch" we experienced. They purposely underquote to get your business, then make you pay more at the last minute when you can't arrange an alternative. I think all the people they scammed should pursue a class action suit.They are a broker (middle man), not an actual moving company. They took advantage of my 79 year old mother. A complete horrible disaster of a move. Scheduled my move and car transport with this company. Sales guy was great. Consistent, knowledgeable and flexible. Explained to him I have an unusually large amount of sneakers and they require special care. He told me to rest assured it would all be taken care of. But as soon as I paid my deposit I couldnt get a hold of him. They upped my price by 20% 3 days before the move. I had a horrible experience with Coastal Moving Services. Moved from the west coast to the east coast. The first thing the "movers" did when they showed up was tell us we needed an entire 1700 cubic foot box truck and tried to triple the price. Incredibly disappointed in this company. They have given no notice at all to when they will show up. Literally no date no time. They tell you one time and then dont show up. Again no notice. Nothing. They will pack you up one day and then show up whenever they want to, again without notice. Pretty slow too

Coastal Moving Services is a horrible company that is purposefully trying to scam their customers:1. Delayed delivery of items to extract storage fees: The movers informed the "office" will call me next day, measure exactly how much space I am using and inform me of the arrival time. None of this happened.
