Standard list management software It was good to build that all-important initial list of contacts. Pros It was useful to collect names to build a list of website visitors - worked reliably for this function. Cons This was the first of such software I'd used and it felt complicated to understand - I outsourced the technicals to the website creator and later switched to a free software provider.
Platform for email, but limited features Overall, this is fine to use if you are looking for something on the cheaper side and just need to send a quick email out. Pros I like the cost of this software compared to other ESP's, it is not as expensive as a marketing automation platform and serves its purpose for quick forms and email sends. Cons I do not like the limited functionality of this product, you can't really adjust forms or make them unique to how you want it, and you can't really get detailed reports. Helps us stay connected with our community We are using Constant Contact to keep our community updated on volunteer opportunities, donation oportunities, and community events. Pros Amazing product to keep in contact with our donors and community partners. Social media integration works very well. Cons Creating your own templates can be a little tricky, but once you get the hang of it its not too bad.
It's okay I'm using it because that's what we have, but I wouldn't necessarily consider using it for myself. It's okay software. Pros It does its job reliably when sending out newsletters. It provides enough number of template that we can use for different newsletters we need. Cons First off, the template and overall user interface look a bit old (traditional), and the software always felt heavy for me. It's not as smooth as Mailchimp.
Great For Email Marketing and Newsletters I have setup, trained on, and used Constant Contact at three or four companies I have worked at. Pros The software is easy to learn, use, and the templates for the emails are nice yet simple to customize. The feedback about open rates is good and it's easy to setup follow-up campaigns. Importing and exporting lists is also very straight forward! Cons I wish that there was a few more templates to choose from, even if there was an additional charge for them
Constant Contact dials in communication. Our over all experience has been awesome. We have used Constant Contact for over six years now. Pros Constant Contact is easy to use and has an appealing look to it. It also has handy templates to choose from making it easy to create a newsletter or adcvertisement. Cons When a customer email bounces it takes a phone call to constant contact to sort this out. The good news is the customer service at Constant Contact is stellar.
Essential Product- Customer Service Could Improve I use weekly for email marketing in this current role/ Pros This is easy for anyone to use. I like the functionality to put together a clean piece without graphic design skills. I can easily add and remove contacts. Easy to manage. Cons I wish some of the customer service and help was better and easier to access. Also the font is a bit wonky and easily thrown off. This should be more concise.

Email Marketing Overall, it's very good. It's pretty easy to use and the emails are really nice looking. They provide lots of templates to choose from or you can design your own. You can create many contact lists so you can target your emails to the group you're trying to reach. Pros Constant Contact is easy to use.
