RecommendedWhen you come in for breakfast and you get a hair in your food and then hear lots of cussing and complaining from the kitchen staff anytime a member of the wait staff asks something of them, it's not a fun time. While sitting at my table, I could hear what seemed like the head cook dropping cuss words and complaining that "we must be the only restaurant open, it's not like our food is that good" because it was slightly busy in the restaurant. won't be back. This was in North Little Rock, AR

I got the small portion chicken fried steak dinner at the new Black Bear Diner in El Paso, Tx. It was very disappointing, obviously a frozen patty and the taste was bad! I’ve been to the diner in Oakley, Ca multiple times when visiting the area and every time the food has been fresh and amazing. You need to provide the same quality food in El Paso!

Placed our name on the text list for a table, received the confirmation text and we were told 20 minutes. After 35 minutes we inquired and were told our name wasn’t on the list, “the system must have blown it out”. After a few minutes, the hostess says, let me just seat you now. We are seated and 25 minutes go by with no service, no acknowledgment, from our sever or anyone, so we left. Went in for breakfast the other day nobody greeted me then I was cut off by a waiter. That never even said excuse me then I sat at a table and waited while waitresses had conversations between each other right next to me, and never waited on me or acknowledge me after about 10 minutes of being ignored, I left Won’t be going back there
we used to stay in st George Utah and ate many meals at the black bear. but management changed and the quality of the drinks and food did a serious nosedive!!! the drink machine was broken and the beverages were awful!!! vegetables were old and mushy. prime rib was all fat!!! the only decent part of our meal was the corn bread and salad. the waitress was very good though. we were asked how our meal was when we paid but we were very truthful. we said never would we eat at the black bear again!!!!!

I made hostess/management aware of the loose front door handle two weeks ago at the Laveen Arizona location and nothing has been done to fix it.
The Redding CA is now managed by Jim, aka The Black Bear Weirdo. If I don’t like something cooked until it’s black (burnt) as a paying customer I really don’t like it when the replacement also has burnt ingredients. This would have never happened with the last manager. Jim, the manager & cook made sure this was how it went down. That’s a weird way to run a restaurant.
