I do recommend the diner and it’s food...BUT! I ordered a meal through DoorDash and they slopped it together, and only gave me half of my order! I spent $20 for half a meal....
My boyfriend and I wanted to try someplace new for breakfast, so we thought the Black Bear Diner would be a good spot. It was not!!!! From the moment we walked in we had issues. First, the hostess didn't ask us if we wanted a booth or a table, but proceeded to take us a to a tiny table in the corner of the restaurant, right next to the kitchen where we could hear everyone's conversations. Great Falls, MT location my father came in with his girlfriend on mother's day. said it took an hour to get his food cause all the servers were wandering and chatting amongst themselves. he asked for utensils 3 times and never recieved them till food came so was forced to stir his coffee with his finger. and the cherry on top. he said as food was pulling up in the "out" area servers continued to chat and ignore the finished orders so when his food came to him it was all ice cold. he wasnt the only one disappointed in the ser... read more
was seated at counter. 32 times someone walked past (multiple people). no hi no greeting no acknowledgement. after 10 minutes another man was seated at the counter and had 3 people acknowledge him and start getting him a drink. got up and left. doubt I will be back. was my first time.
8 open clean tables, 1 table that is dirty and needs busting with a 30 minute wait? hostess ride as hell, which I just heard her tell another employee she is about to leave, so it makes sense as to why she has a big attitude.
not satisfied with the experience and lack of customer service
I waited over 15 mins just to get a table. The person seating folks was on the phone instead of staying people and the manager was no where to be seen. Horrible experience. I ended up leaving. Also. There were plenty of empty seats. The person ringing everyone out kept apologizing. There were 5 people in front of me as well. Thank goodness bob Evans is right down tbt street.
We’ve ate here a few times. Food is always good. Today we had to wait. That’s no problem. However when you wait for 25 minutes and a couple that just came in gets sat before you , and you ask why , they’re setting our table up. I can clearly see what’s going on. Not cool Black Bear , not cool
The food was barely warm and wasn’t good at all. I will not visit this place again.
