Your location at SE Portland Oregon location.. 3737 SE 82nd... Probably one of the worst experiences I had at this diner... We started off on a Sunday early morning... 8 am.. few people in the restaurant.. The first hostess tried to seat me at a booth when I had asked for a table. I came to Black-bear dinner in Bakersfield, CA with a party of 12. The experience was horrible! We were seated at 10:55 and waited for our order of food for 1 hour and 30 minutes. We asked to speak to the manager Francisco in which he informed us that there was nothing he could do for he believed he warned us about how long our food would take given the size of the party, but the waiter told us differently. If it was up to me, our waitress would not have been tipped, she’s lucky my husband went back to put one on the table while I’m not looking because the service was absolutely terrible!!! My husbands pop was empty before the food even arrived and Ashley never offered a refill, she was so fast and rushing we didn’t even have a second to ask for one! I have attempted to call your Danville CA restaurant 10 or more times- 1st time put on hold, each time thereafter hung up on me. Whoever is answering the phone there at 7:30 pm tonight April 6th should be fired. All I wanted to know if this weekend still has free delivery. Cannot be more disgusted. Maybe VM is full either way so unprofessional & we eat there a lot. What is the problem???
RecommendedIt’s a cozy atmosphere, however when you have a special like Prime Rib only on Saturday that starts at 4pm and “SOLD OUT” by 6pm that’s a problem. 3 weeks in a row this has happened or even not had it. Only to find out after you wait for 30 minutes they don’t have it. Better yet here we sit after they say we are sold out and a party of 14 arrives and they all get it. I think better management and better preparations should be a top priority or this place will sink once again!
Was seated immediately then waited over fifteen minutes while employees chatted amongst each other and patrons ate. Never once being introduced to the server or having drink orders taken. But we got all the attention in the building when we got up to walk out with employees following us and begging to make things right. Never Again!!
RecommendedThis was the second time my family and I visited and the service was awful!! It would have been nice if someone would had held the door open for my dad since he had a walker instead of standing around visiting and watching us struggle. Instead I struggled to open both doors so he could get in! The food is great just service needs to be improved
our group of 6 stopped at this restaurant thinking it would be a fun experience if they could seat us quickly due to flying home... we were told 10 to 15 minutes...we asked really because we have to go soon ... one hour later...granted we should have just left but I asked are you sure 15 ? our group finally agreed we would just go due to time restrictions...that's when they magically procured a table... felt like a slap in the face... to top it off the kid that seated us says he will get our drinks going because we REALLY n... read more
