Honestly the food was ok but our served shana was something else. She kept saying oh I’ll be right with you, 10 min later got our drinks, another 10 min went by we finally ordered and that was it never saw her again u til the runner had walked around the whole restaurant with our plates asking who’s it was finally the manager came over I expressed my concern and I was offered a free dessert with my $44 ticket for 2 people and child. What a chaotic and disorganized mess. Walking in people were walking out requesting to speak with the manager. Bad sign. Servers running around made my head swim. Food sitting there forever waiting to just be delivered to tables. And loud shouting back and forth between severs and cooks. Then there’s us. We sat at the counter hoping to speed things along. We ate at Black Bear in Humble TX. If you want frozen chicken fried steak patties or frozen fish sticks, then this is your place. Waitress never refreshed our drinks, that we absolutely needed to wash down the horrible food. We will not be returning.
we have been long time customers of Back Bear Diner. We have visited them often across all different states and cities. I would normally recommend this restaurant to anyone, however I was extremely disappointed in our service tonight. We were so excited when we heard that our home town was getting one, we even visited twice in its opening weekend. I had a hair on my steak and the manager said it was a steak string for goodness sake just own up and replace it
Went for breakfast this morning. No wait to be seated...but apparently the wait staff were not aware of the areas they were supporting. We waited 15 minutes and then asked a team member to take our order because NO ONE ever came to check on us even though all the tables around us had already been visited. Food was ok and portions were HUGE but it will be a long time before we try this place again.
My boyfriend worked there. And it was disgusting. In the mornings they don’t clean the dishes right.
Sat us in the back corner not a single staff stopped at our table. We left after 24 mins of no service. It was early and there was not much of a crowd so they can’t use that as an excuse.
We came into the Black Bear Diner in Torrance for some breakfast. We walked in, and there was no one waiting, yet, it took about 8 minutes for someone to greet us and tell us it'll be another 10 minutes. There were many empty tables. Finally, we got sat and had Kimberly, the lead server (according to her tag) taking care of us. "Taking care" would be a real stretch of the imagination.
