I have no complaints about your food or your servers both were amazing. With that said I will never recommend or return to this restaurant due to your employ in the bear costume scaring my 2 year old . I can understand they were doing their job and socializing . But when a child is shaking,screaming and crying scary bear they should not repeatedly go back to that section and when the parent has to leave to take the child out not once but twice because of it do not fallow and continue !

The Black Bear Diner in Carson City, Nevada is awful. I am glad that it wasn't our first time eating at a Black Bear Diner. We tried to get some recompense but the only way we can is to go back to that restaurant.

Black Bear Diner can improve itself, by showing some respect for the senior citizens you have no senior discounts whatsoever no arpp discount yes I was in your establishment a few days ago and I are inquiring about AARP discount and was told you did not accept that. That being said, we understand that not everyone wants to order order a large plate and we have our Diner Deals that is more a la carte where depending on how much you want to eat or pay - you can chose to add on items. I don't know what all the people raving about this place ate, but it wasn't the chicken fried steak. What the wife and I got was a prepackaged, pre breaded reconstituted "meat product." About the same consistency of bologna , but without the spices. Even the breading was nasty. And the onion rings were nothing to brag about, either. At least the fries were good. I’ve been a patron of Black Bear since it opened. I visited a week ago with my son. Was ask to leave for no reason and no explanation. Threat of law enforcement was made still without explanation. Attempts to inquire have been ignored as well as multiple attempts to contact the owner have been ignored. At this point I’ll be filing a complaint with the corporate office and will have to feed my inner bear elsewhere, it won’t be at another Black Bear either. Pathetic, and frankly sad. Poor management.

Unorganized with service of food! Entree’s served before salad saw our waitress once to take our order! The person who served our food was loud when talking to us!! When she brought our entree’s we told her we didn’t receive our salads yet! She said she would get our salads and never came back! All I can say is we’re not going back! Treated very poorly and had to pay for an unhappy experience! Signed never going back!!☹️
