When employees go on Snapchat to target a specific race and how "poor" they tip, that is racial discrimination. Not everyone will tip well, especially for poor service. The values that Blackbear Diner holds as a general company are NOT being practiced at this Santa Maria location. Please be aware that while you are leaving the restaurant and are Mexican/Hispanic, you are being generalized and talked badly about. they hire racist employees and don't hold them accountable, even though video of said racists go viral and are being posted on their FB page. their response is to simply delete posts of concerned and potential future customers. way to be complicit and not take action!

RecommendedYesterday was our first time here (Colorado Springs) My husband had the steak & eggs and I had the Chicken Apple Sausage Scramble. OMG so good, large portions, great coffee and our server Kathy was wonderful. Can’t wait to to back.

manager was horrible and very ride to her staff in front of us, going as far to make fun of servers with other servers. I have a very good sense of humor, this wasn't just teasing, but mean spirited hatefulness. I've never returned after viewing this twice. Disgusted.
