I would just like to take a minute and say how crappy David's bridal is in Hagerstown. First time I went in to get a dress I had a horrible consultant who brought me dresses that were way to small for me then the next time I went in I found out they ordered the wrong color in my one bridesmaid gown it was to be emerald green they ordered blue and just a few moments ago I went to pick up my shoes they were to be dying cherry red to go with my wizard of oz wedding theme only when I got them they were pink!! I scheduled an appointment and when I arrived with my daughter, who is going to be a junior bride's maid in my cousin's weeding, we were pointed in the direction of dresses and told to go to a dressing room. There was NO help! What the heck was the point of having an appointment if not to help the person needing a dress. Also, I was yelled at for not having come in sooner for an October wedding, the bride just made her color choice and lives out of state. I will never go back to a David's Bridal again.
Just had a friend of mine order dresses from there that got screwed up months ago and now went to pick up shoes that were a completely different color. The ladies who "helped" her were not respectful or understanding about the situation at all.
Ladies do not waste your time with this franchise. Once you order a dress and you get it , if there is anything wrong with it, you are on your own. Words cannot express my frustration! Both of my girls dresses have the same defect, and you know what I was told. "Yes that's the issue with that dress and no there's nothing we can do for you". I was not very pleased with the service that we got. The woman helping us try on the dresses was very nice but the rest of the customer service was horrible. Also my wedding had to be postponed for a year and I was told that they would exchange my dress if I lost too much weight in that time. I just got off the phone with their customer service rep and was told, "No way." OMG!!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE DISAPOINTED!! I have never seen customer service so bad in my life. And I have worked plenty of jobs in retail dealing with customer service. I would think customer service should be at its upmost in a bridal store where the bride is allready under so much stress from all the planning of her big day! Horrible, rude, service people.
Just awful! Though buying a friends wedding dress went well, the aftermath of getting alterations done was horrible. They charge through the roof and dont even do the job right, and even when its their screw up they will charge you for it. Unbelievable. They screwed up on my friends dress and told her it was her fault and now WE are fixing it. Dont even waste your time here.
Check out the return policy before you buy. I Did an exchange and they wouldn't credit my credit card the 20 bucks they owed me. I had to buy earrings and 2 stupid plastic bags I didn't want. They still owed me $1.42 and gave me a STINKING STORE CREDIT! When am I going to go back there and spend $1.42? NEVER! Also, not once while I was trying on dresses did they ask if I needed a different size. No help at all. I had to keep redressing to get different sizes. I should have just gone to Dillard's.
