Call your creditors and settle the debts yourself. I withdrew my last debt from this account and am still in the process of paying off my final debt for significantly more than it was when I entered the program. This was literally the worst decision I have ever made. They are unresponsive- their portal is confusing and they dont respond to any messages there. Their payment process to your creditors is very unclear. They also missed payments on my final settlement causing it to default, the settlement to be voided and an atto... read more

Those in debt and looking for a solution aside from Bankruptcy, beware. The claims of reducing your large debt to half are borderline false. The catch is the bigger amounts owed and to bigger named companies (Discover, ****************, etc.) will not negotiate past a certain point. DebtBlue allowed my Discover account go into litigation before negotiating so attorney fees could be charged on my account. The attorney for Discover (that I was told not to contact) told me honestly I could have gotten a better reduction if I ha... read more

At first, DebtBlue makes big promises. They are friendly, reassuring, and make it sound like they will handle everything for you. I trusted them and made my payments every month, including paying extra for their so-called legal services. When Discover sued me, I immediately notified DebtBlue. I was told dont worry about it. I relied on that. Shortly after, my wages were garnished. Despite knowing about the lawsuit and garnishment, DebtBlue did nothing meaningful to help me or guide me through the situation.Paying monthly for ... read more

Bad experience. Was told they were going to try and negotiate some debt on my behav. So I opted for a 3 year 550 a month payment. Nothing was resolved and my bank account was froze due to the lawyer they paid to represent me. Now my credit is ruined I still owe money to debt blue and the creditors hey said they would help me with. Now my check is going to be garnished. Stay away.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly sorry to hear that you feel disappointed and frustrated, as this is never the outcome we want for anyone who enrolls in our program.Debt resolution is a complex process, and while negotiations can take time, we understand how stressful situations involving legal action, frozen accounts, or wage garnishment can be. Our intention is always to provide guidance and support throughout the process, including explaining potential risks and available options when c... read more

Don't do it. Buyer beware! They will sell you a pipe dream and assure you that your problems will be solved, they trick you in to believing it, they pray on people wanting to get out of debt, they know were desperate to have some relief. I had agreed to a settlement offer 3 payments of $3xx, FANTASTIC! 5 months later I get an email statement from the creditor saying that I still owe them. I called the creditor and they said that debtblue failed to pay them on time so the settlement was voided. Debtblue got their money, and I... read more

Was told they could help me settle 5 accounts-they were only able to settle 1. Am at an amount that was way higher than the company was willing to settle with me for (I got a settlement offer right after I signed with debt blue so I couldnt accept it). Settlement amount was $2200-I made an additional large addition to my account in order to pay it off quicker. The total amount paid for this? $4400. Even with paying it off months and months ahead of time. They trick you into believing the fees wont be astronomical but they ar... read more

Business response:

Were sorry to hear youre disappointed. Settlement results and timing can vary based on creditor policies and when offers are presented, and not all accounts resolve at the same pace. All program fees are fully disclosed upfront and outlined in the enrollment agreement. We will be researching the details of your account and reaching out to discuss any possible resolutions to your concerns.

I had two accounts with a creditor Credit One. When you give POA ..DebtBlue has your correspondence go to their mailing address and I was unaware of that. So I didn't get to see any settlements the creditor had to offer or anything. Instead they sent me to a collection agency called ********* which ended up being a nightmare. They took out a civil summons against me for both accounts separately one was 2600.00 and the other was 1400.00. My family paid the 2nd one (1400 ) off. I am paying for legal thru the program ******** *... read more

Business response:

Were truly sorry to hear about the hardship youve experienced and understand how stressful this situation has been for you and your family. When a Power of Attorney is established, creditor correspondence is directed to our office so we can negotiate on our clients behalf; however, we understand how this can feel frustrating if expectations werent clear. Legal actions can still occur in some cases despite ongoing negotiations, which is why litigation support options are available. We will be researching the details of your a... read more

My ***** account was overpaid. The settled amount is $3900 and my payments amounted to $4550. My ********* account has still not been updated. I had made $708 in payments plus $825.68. I am worried that I might be overcharged again.

Business response:

Thank you for the opportunity to submit a few words. I have been with Debt Blue a couple of months now. And what I find so far is that I would like them to be a little bit more aggressive with notifying my creditors that they are representing me. Im not happy about the interest building rapidly and I need to stop that bleeding. I would like to see a little bit more response from them to my creditors to start something going. I will keep you abreast as to what I find in real time.

Business response:

We really appreciate the feedback, *****. We will be reaching out to discuss the intricacies of your account.
