My dog had injured his back and could hardly walk about a year ago, two other vets informed me the only solution is a surgery, but Dr. Dietrichthis by administering proper medication and laser therapy cured my dog, He really cares about his patient , every office visit is always followed up by a phone call from him. The staff are also as wonderful as the doctor.

After using a couple of veterinarians in Brentwood I switched to the Discovery Bay Veterinary Clinic at least 20 years ago. I think this was even pre-Dr. Dietrich. It has been a good clinic and since Dr. Dietrich came it's been great. He's professional, knowledgeable and down to earth-He takes the time needed to make sure you understand what's going on and what is needed. His staff follows his example. I love going there. Dr. Rich Dietrich, is a very caring and knowledgeable veterinarian. We have CA Desert Tortoises and have been driving to Lodi for their checkups. One day, after driving 2.5 hours to and from the vet, I thought I would see if there were any vets closer that were familiar with desert tortoises. Fortunately, Dr. Dietrich treats tortoises. He provided a much more thorough examination and gave more information than the well known exotic species vet in Lodi. Little late, maybe a few years late. But about 3 years ago I brought my bearded dragon Berzodo here, my most beloved pet. Dr.Dietrich (hope I spelled that right). Was the one to help my poor boy when he had gangrene on his private area. I was sobbing taking my boy, he's my world, Dr.Dietrich assured me my boy would be ok. Everyone there was so kind and comforting as I was sobbing in the waiting room, yes I was a bit dramatic but this boy is my world. Took my Ferret Wyatt in and he is elderly and has adrenal disease and he gave him some meds. He is doing much better Dr. could have raked me over the coals with thousands of dollars. This NOT what these people were about! You would have never known he hasn't seen many ferrets recently. I know from experience that when our furry friends pass from the "unknown" and spend lots trying to figure it out tend to be a little disgruntle it part of a grieving. My heart goes out to Rocko's owner Tage S.

I took my puppy there for his first check up , everybody was so nice ,and the Dr.was really patient and answer all of my questions . They tried to sell us some sort of health plan for the dog , but they weren't pushy at all. definitely will go there again!

I've said it before and I'll say it again..Dr D and the ladies are amazing. I've had my pets there for 20 years and there is no one I trust more. This week my 10yr old pit had to have 5 teeth removed and a mass from her side. They didn't just take care of her, they took care of me. I was a mess and Nancy was there with a hug, letting me know it would be alright. Dr D made sure I knew everything that would happen and went over her care for home extensively.
