Great people. They really understand pets and work with you and your pet. They won't try to upwell you at all. I would recommend this vet to anyone. Too bad I do not live in AZ anymore.
Dr Schroeder and the rest of the staff at East Maryland have taken great care of my pets for 13 years. The quality of care is exceptional, and their interest in my dog and cat's well being means a lot to me. I really appreciate their follow up calls after a treatment or new medication. KAT
Excellent service and customer care (both human and canine). Dr. Schroeder was a pleasure to deal with, and handled the problem with skill and compassion.
Dr Schroeder was great & very thorough w/ our new puppy. I had a lot of questions & she answered every one of them. She also followed up w/ an e-mail response after looking further into one of my questions. I also like that she gave our puppy lots of love & attention. The vet tech & staff were all very welcoming & friendly, as well. They were knowledgeable, helpful & also showed our puppy lots of attention. Very positive experience all around!
Have been a long time satisfied animal mom - all of our animals over the years have received excellent care; the staff is always great, caring and attentive and the follow up is excellent "

We have been going to East Maryland Animal Hospital for over 20 years. We have moved to the West Valley and yet still make the drive to 7th Street and Maryland. Dr. Hoppe, is compassionate and an excellent clinician of veterinary medicine. We haven't seen the other doctors, as Dr. Hoppe has always been available. Animals are the number one priority at East Maryland. In the patient rooms they have a monitor, featuring their staff and tid bits of info about common pet problems and illnesses. This is a wonderful clinic for your beloved pets. The staff and the doctors are attentive, supportive and helpful in every way. I highly recommend this clinic. When my 20 year old cat became suddenly very ill, I called the clinic as a new patient and was able to bring him in within a half hour. The staff and Dr. Martens did blood work right away and the results were available in just a few minutes. I have been a client for almost 5 years to EMAH. We have 5 cats and did have 2 doggies up until a month ago. They have treated our animals with love and care. Animal vet care is pricey. Bottomline, anywhere you go you are going to pay but this office shows care and compassion. I have never had them try to upsale me. They are always respectful. My cat would give this place 1 star because he did not enjoy having a thermometer up his butt and getting a shot. But I have other criteria to rely on, and this is definitely a 5 star vet! 1) The staff is so friendly. I've been to other vets where you feel like the staff could care less about you or your pet, and that is not the case here.
